About Tunearby

Tunearby finds every AM and FM radio station and over-the-air TV channel broadcasting near you, and shows you exactly where to tune or which way to aim your antenna. Point it at your location and get a clean, distance-sorted list of local frequencies — no sign-up, no ads, and it works offline once the catalog has downloaded. Whether you're road-tripping through a new city, chasing a ball game, cutting the cord, or just curious what's on the dial, Tunearby turns your phone into a local radio and TV guide. WHAT YOU GET • Nearby stations, sorted by distance — AM and FM, with call sign, frequency, and format at a glance • Live "On Air" tab — see what's playing right now, correct to each station's own time zone • Call or text in — each station's phone and text numbers, plus the call-in and text lines of syndicated shows while they're on the air • Map view — browse stations across the area and tap any marker for details • Station details — transmitter sites on a map, day/night power and directional patterns, and the exact sunrise/sunset times AM stations switch power • TV tab — every over-the-air TV channel within 125 miles: how far the tower is, which way to point your antenna, whether the FCC's predicted coverage reaches you, and the VHF/UHF band so you pick the right antenna. Type the channel your TV shows (like 31.1) to find its station, subchannels, and networks • Filters — narrow by band (AM/FM/TV) and by format: News/Talk, Sports, Public Radio, Classic Rock, Country, and 25+ more • Search anywhere — set a custom city to see what's on the air somewhere else before you go • Live tracking — while you drive, stations move in and out of range automatically • Light, dark, and system themes BUILT FOR PRIVACY • No account required • No ads, no trackers, no analytics • Your exact location never leaves your device — it's used only to find nearby stations • The station catalog downloads on first launch and keeps itself up to date; stations, the TV lineup and On Air then work with no signal (maps and city search need a connection) Tune in to what's around you.

What’s new

Version 1.1.4 · Updated October 4, 2026

New in this version: • TV tab: every over-the-air channel within 125 miles, with how far the tower is, which way to aim your antenna, whether the FCC's predicted coverage reaches you, and the VHF/UHF band. Type the channel your TV shows (like 31.1) to find its station, subchannels and networks. • Turn on the TV band in Settings to add TV stations to the List and Map. • Call-in and text lines: while a syndicated show is on, the List and On Air show the show's own call-in or text line, and the station's number during its local shows. • Station data now downloads on first launch and keeps itself up to date, so new stations, schedules and phone numbers arrive without an app update. • A privacy policy link and the app version in Settings. • Fixed a map that could occasionally stay blank.
