About Nook: Events Near You
Nook shows what's on near you and keeps your week in one place. Open Discover for tonight's pick and everything happening this week, as a list or on the map. Filters read like a sentence: what, when, in person or online, how far away and how much. Turn on "Only when I'm free" and Nook shows just the events that fit around your calendars, which never leave your phone. Every event gets one clear page: when, where, who's hosting, how many are going, even the weather at the venue. Register in a tap, add it to Apple or Google Calendar, and find it at the top of Your plans. At the door, show your QR code and you're in. In the hour before, a Live Activity counts down on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with your ticket and directions a tap away. Widgets keep what's next on your Home Screen and Lock Screen. Hosting? Create an event in minutes, ask questions at registration, approve requests, keep a waitlist and check guests in by scanning their code. Your own Live Activity shows how many are going and how many are already in. Run events as yourself or as an organization, with your team beside you. Why Nook: • What's on near you, tonight and this week • Your plans first, soonest at the top • Filters for your budget, your neighborhood and your free time • One-tap registration and calendar add • QR tickets and one-scan check-in • Live Activities and Home and Lock Screen widgets • Share any event as a poster, straight to your story • Host as yourself or as a community • Event descriptions translated with one tap • Speaks English, Ukrainian, Polish, German, Italian, French and Spanish Your plans, your neighborhood, one nook.
What’s new
Version 1.24.1 · Updated October 15, 2026
Nook has a refreshed set of icons across the mobile app, website and organizer console. • Organization invitations now send a notification, appear in Activity, and add a badge to the bell when they are unread. • You can block someone from their profile. They can’t follow you, and their events no longer appear in your feed, search or map. Blocked accounts are listed in Settings, where you can unblock them. • Nook now has Terms of Use, linked in Settings and when you sign up. • Event pages open in their cover’s colours straight away instead of fading into them, and scroll more smoothly. Colours for imported events are now worked out before you open them. • The organization name at the top of your profile no longer hides behind the buttons beside it. A long name is shortened, and the arrow that switches workspace stays in view. • Long event descriptions no longer flicker between their short and full length on some iPhones. They stay collapsed until you tap Show more. • The Live Activity on the Lock Screen now shows that an event has ended instead of stopping at 0:00, and its title and icons no longer get cut off. The Calendar widget now shows full start times, and its two headings line up. • The organizer console Team and Settings pages now load correctly, including team invites, ownership transfer and the selected recipient label. • Nook now runs on iPad, upright or sideways. On a wide screen, event pages, profiles, organization pages and city pages put the essentials in a column beside the rest, as the website does. In landscape, Home shows your plans beside events, Create Event puts the cover beside the form, and the event poster sits beside its share and save buttons. • The Up next widget now comes in a large size, showing your next events grouped by day. • Links now open the right screen even when Nook was closed. • The buttons under an event poster no longer cut their labels short. • An event that hides one of its hosts no longer appears on that host’s profile.
