About AZ StRUT
AZ StRUT (Arizona Students Recycling Used Technology) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that keeps electronics out of landfills and puts refurbished technology into the hands of Arizona students, schools, and nonprofits. Our app makes it easy to donate, recycle, and get involved. DONATE & RECYCLE ELECTRONICS • Find drop-off locations near you on an interactive map — with hours, directions, and live "open now" status • See exactly what we accept: we take nearly all electronics, working or not, from laptops and phones to cables, TVs, and printers • Learn how your information stays safe with our secure data wiping and destruction Dropping off is free, and your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. SUPPORT ARIZONA CLASSROOMS Every device you donate helps refurbish computers and technology for schools, libraries, and community organizations across Arizona — closing the digital divide one device at a time. STAY CONNECTED • Watch "Fun Finds" — short videos featuring the interesting tech that comes through our warehouse • Read the latest AZ StRUT news and updates • Get reminders about upcoming e-waste collection events near you FOR VOLUNTEERS & MEMBERS • Access your digital volunteer badge and add it to Apple Wallet • Track your volunteer hours and check in at the warehouse • Manage equipment requests and notification preferences Whether you're clearing out old electronics, searching for a local drop-off, or ready to volunteer, AZ StRUT helps you turn used technology into opportunity.
What’s new
Version 1.2 · Updated October 29, 2026
NEW • Collection Events: find community electronics drives near you right from Home, with a map, directions and one-tap Add to Calendar. Every drive shows its date, the host and whether tube TVs are accepted, so you know before you go. • Host a collection event: HOAs, schools, employers and faith communities can request a drive from the app (Arizona only). We bring the truck and make the flyer. • "Can you take this?": snap or attach a photo in Ask AZ StRUT to find out whether we accept it. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, the photo never leaves your device. • Built for iPhone Duo: AZ StRUT adapts to every pose, closed or open, folded like a book or propped up in tabletop. The map, newsletters, Fun Finds and Account make use of the larger display, and nothing important lands in the fold. • Dark mode is back: choose System, Light or Dark in More › Settings › Appearance. The whole app has been re-tuned to look great in the dark. • Siri, Shortcuts and the Action button: say "Clock in with AZ StRUT", "Show my badge in AZ StRUT" or "Find a drop-off near me in AZ StRUT". Drop-off locations also show up in iPhone search. • Home Screen quick actions: touch and hold the app icon for Find a Drop-off, Request a Pickup and Ask AZ StRUT. Signed-in volunteers also get Show My Badge and Clock In / Out. IMPROVED • Where to Donate: on larger screens the map and its controls sit side by side, the search stays put when you open a result, and the location button now sits right beside the search field. • Jared's Fun Finds: a roomier video grid on larger displays, with shorter titles that are easier to scan. • Settings have a cleaner home behind the gear on the More tab, with refreshed About and Connect sections.
