Satrelle Planner

Satrelle Planner shows you the night before you shoot it. Set your place, your night and your lens, and see exactly what your camera will record: the star trails, the Milky Way, the Moon, and the real horizon they rise and set behind. PLANNER (free) See the trails through your own lens, drawn the way your camera will record them over the real Milky Way. Turn the lens and shutter rings like the ones on your camera, aim by dragging the sky, and find the darkest stretch of the night. TERRAIN AND 3D (free) Elevation data out to 80 km draws your true skyline, so the planner knows when the core sets behind the ridge. Step into a 3D view of the land at your spot, lit by the Moon, with shadows where the Moon puts them. PANO (Satrelle Pro) Plan a panorama frame by frame on the real sky and land. Pick a lens and set the frames and rows; Satrelle lays out every shot and hands you a shot list with headings and tilts. Step through it and see each frame as your camera will, with how far to turn from the last one. LIVE SKY (Satrelle Pro) Send your plan to the sky. Hold up your phone and Satrelle guides you onto your planned frame over the live camera, then scrub the night to watch the trails build. ALMANAC, EXPOSURE AND PHOTO OVERLAY (free) Sunrise, sunset, twilight and the Moon's phase for any night. Match any exposure from one test shot, with ND filters. Line trails up on a photo you already took, using its own place and time. Built for photographers, honestly: - Real astronomy from an 8,400 star catalog, and the real Milky Way (ESO/S. Brunier, CC BY 4.0) - Accurate Sun and Moon positions, with the Moon's real phase - Frame to your exact camera and focal length - Smooth at 120 Hz on ProMotion iPhones - No account, no analytics, no tracking. Your plans stay on your phone; the app downloads public elevation data for the places you plan. Free to plan, to see your terrain in 3D and to use the Almanac, Exposure and Photo tools. Satrelle Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks Pano and the live sky. No subscription. Satrelle Planner is the companion to Satrelle for Mac, the star-trail app for serious nightscape work.
