About German with Levels
German with Levels helps you learn German step by step, starting with the words you need most. Learn vocabulary first, then practice grammar with words you already know. The app is organized by CEFR levels A1, A2 and B1 (B1.1, B1.2 and B1.3), so you can build your German in a clear and structured way. What you can do: • Learn German words in small daily batches • Practice with listening, quiz, and review modes • Play the Word Game in five modes: picture, article, listening, typing and grammar • Hear native speaker audio for words, grammar and stories • Study grammar with simple explanations and examples • Read level-based stories and tap any paragraph for its translation • Explore a built-in German dictionary • Check verb conjugations • See noun articles, plural forms, and case examples • Track your progress German with Levels is built for learners who want a calm, structured, and practical way to improve their German. What’s new
Version 1.1.0 · Updated October 5, 2026
B1 is here • New B1 level with three stages: B1.1, B1.2 and B1.3 (Intermediate I, II, III). Each stage has its own learning path with word batches, grammar batches, Harmony practice and stories, all with pictures and native speaker audio. • The first B1 lessons and the first B1 story are free to try. Unlock B1 on its own or all levels together in one purchase. Stories • Tap any paragraph to see its translation, tap again to go back to the German. • The story questions now appear once you have opened the last page. Word Game • New Grammar mode: fill the gap in a sentence using the grammar point from your current batch. • Article and Listen modes: pick der, die or das, or hear a word and choose it. Harmony Practice • The Listen tab is now always available and reviews every word of your current chapter. • The Listen check mark means a finished round on every level. Also in this update • A What's New card on Home tells you what changed after each update. • Your day streak is counted once a day, with one greeting instead of several. • Say it: "Listening..." now appears only when the microphone is actually capturing. • A live hint under new password fields shows the 8 character minimum. • Many A1 and B1 recordings were re-recorded for clearer pronunciation. • Smaller download: the free content bundled in the app is about a third of its previous size.
