About Mint — Food & Label Scanner

Front-of-pack claims are marketing. The ingredient list is the product. Mint scans the barcode on packaged food, supplements and personal care products and scores what's actually inside — how processed it is, which additives it carries, which oils and sweeteners it uses — then explains every ingredient in plain language. WHAT YOU GET • Scan a barcode, get a score in seconds • Every ingredient explained — what it is, what it does, why it matters • Processing level, additives, seed oils and sweeteners, all called out • Rankings across categories, so you can see what a good option looks like • Research write-ups on what the evidence actually says • History of everything you've scanned BUILT ON REAL DATA Scores come from published ingredient data and nutrient reference intakes, not from brand partnerships. No sponsored placements, no paid rankings. NO ACCOUNT NEEDED Scanning and scoring work signed out. An account only exists so your history and preferences follow you to a new phone. MINT PRO Mint Pro unlocks unlimited scans, unlimited search, the sources behind every ingredient, and your full scan history. • 3 days free, then $39.99 per year Your free trial converts to a paid yearly subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Mint sends a reminder two days before that happens. Mint Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple Account settings. What’s new

Version 1.1.3 · Updated October 7, 2026

More to browse, and better pictures of it. Rankings now covers twenty-four categories instead of twelve - soda, coffee, tea, bread, peanut butter, crackers, cookies, candy, nuts, soup, protein powder and soap join the ones already there. Each was checked against the databases first, so every category opens onto a full shelf rather than an empty one. Shelves also load far more reliably. Mint was asking the product databases for every category at once and getting turned away, which is why rows sometimes arrived empty. Product photography is cleaner again: a few snack bars were losing the sealed ends of their wrappers, and those now show the photograph untouched instead. Search results get their pictures sooner. A row was waiting out a slow photo even after a better one had arrived, which is why the first search came up blank and the second was instant.
