Kandili - Orthodox Companion

Kandili is a quiet, beautiful companion for the Orthodox Christian life. It keeps the rhythm of the Church beside you each day: the calendar, the fast, the saints, the readings, and your own rule of prayer. WHAT'S INSIDE The Church calendar. See each day at a glance, with feasts, fasts, and the saints commemorated. Switch between the New (Revised Julian) and Old (Julian) calendars to match your parish. Daily readings. The appointed Epistle and Gospel for every day, with the full passages built in. Saints of the day. Read the lives of the saints the Church remembers, with their troparia. Your rule of prayer. A gentle morning and evening rule, shaped to where you are on the way, from inquirer to lifelong faithful. Full prayers, never cut short. The Jesus Prayer. A prayer rope you can tell knot by knot, with a quiet count that follows you through the day. Stillness. A simple breathing guide for praying the Jesus Prayer with attention. A companion to ask. Bring your questions about the faith, the services, or a prayer, and receive a clear, grounded answer that always points you back to your priest and your parish. GENTLE BY DESIGN Kandili never shames you with streaks or guilt. Small and faithful beats large and abandoned. Optional, quiet reminders help you return, morning and evening, to the same lamp.
