MushDex: Mushroom Identifier

MushDex helps you identify mushrooms in seconds — just snap a photo. From backyard fungi to forest floor finds, MushDex gives you the tools to explore the fascinating world of mushrooms with confidence. Trained on thousands of species, the app delivers fast, reliable identification right from your phone. HOW IT WORKS Take a photo of any mushroom you come across. MushDex analyzes the image and shows you the most likely species matches — complete with common and scientific names, key features, and important safety information. For better accuracy, capture multiple angles: top, side, and gills. The more you photograph, the more precise the results. DETAILED SPECIES PROFILES Every identification opens a rich species profile. You'll find toxicity information, physical characteristics, habitat and seasonal data, similar species comparisons, and a full scientific classification. SAFETY BY DESIGN MushDex is built with safety at its core. Toxic species are clearly flagged in your results. Similar species warnings help you recognize dangerous look-alikes. And a persistent safety notice reminds you that the identification is a starting point — not a final answer. We never label any species as "safe to eat." This app is designed to help you learn, not to make foraging decisions for you. YOUR PERSONAL COLLECTION Save species you've identified to your personal collection.
