About Wabi Tabi — Japan Travel Map

Wabi Tabi is a calm, beautiful way to remember every corner of Japan you've traveled. Mark the prefectures and cities you've visited, group them into trips, and watch your own map of Japan fill in over time. No accounts, no ads, no tracking — just you and your journey. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Track all 47 prefectures and the cities within them on an interactive, hand-drawn map • Group your visits into trips and see your travels come together • Browse summary stats — prefectures and cities visited, first visits, seasons • Collect goshuin-style stamps in your Stamp Book (御朱印帳) as you reach milestones — first trip, all four seasons, years of travel, 10 prefectures — and watch each one press the first time you open it • Share a stamp or your whole Travel Map as a post, a story, or a short video made right on your device — free, works offline, and nothing leaves your phone unless you share it • Create beautiful, shareable postcards of your trips — 50 season-aware designs, from sumi-e ink to neon city nights • Add up to 10 photos to each trip (Pro), kept on your device and saved with your backup • Search any city across Japan in an instant • Seven languages: English, 日本語, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 한국어, Français, Español QUIETLY YOURS Wabi Tabi is built around the wabi-sabi spirit — muted colors, fine lines, unhurried motion. It works completely offline and keeps every bit of your data on your device. Export or import your travels anytime to back them up or move to a new phone. FAIR & SIMPLE Free to use. A one-time Pro unlock — no subscription, ever — adds unlimited trips and cities, import and export, the full postcard studio, trip photos, and the prefecture, area and all-Japan stamps. There's also an optional tip jar if you'd like to support development; it unlocks nothing, just heartfelt thanks. Start mapping your Japan.

What’s new

Version 1.2.0 · Updated October 21, 2026

New: rate Wabi Tabi any time from Settings › About. Remote islands now sit in labeled boxes that show which way they lie and how far away they are. The Autumn Foliage 2026 stamp opens October 31. Log a visit dated October 31 – November 30 to press it. Days in the same city on one trip now count as one visit, and dates read naturally: “Oct 3 – 9, 2024”. Record a stay in one go. Set Days stayed when you log a visit, and every day is added. Sort your prefectures in Travel Summary: most visited, recently visited, first visited, or Hokkaido → Okinawa, grouped by region. New with Pro: add up to 10 photos to each trip, kept on your device. Export now saves visits, trips and photos in one backup, and Import restores it. You can also open a backup in Wabi Tabi from Files, Mail or AirDrop.
