About BellySignal: Poop Tracker
BellySignal is a poop tracker and bowel diary for recording your daily digestive patterns. Log stool form with the Bristol stool chart, urine color, water intake, and food and habits in one place. Start without an account. KEEP A BOWEL MOVEMENT DIARY Choose a Bristol stool type from 1 to 7, record color, and note blood or mucus you notice. Add observations such as belly pain, bloating, urgency, or straining to keep a useful record over time. TRACK WATER, FOOD AND HABITS Log water toward your daily goal and record urine color. Add coffee, alcohol, dairy, spicy food, stress or poor sleep to look back at what happened around changes in your digestion. A pattern does not prove that a food caused a symptom. REVIEW TRENDS AND EXPORT A PDF See your entries together in Trends. Export a PDF summary of the last 90 days from Settings and choose whether to share it at a medical appointment. You can also export a backup file and restore it later. START WITHOUT SIGNING IN Your diary is stored locally by default. An account is optional and does not currently sync your health diary between devices. You choose where exported files go and whether to enable health-platform integration. Some health values, including stool type, symptoms and manually entered weight, are sent to PostHog, which is on by default. The Usage analytics switch controls PostHog only. Firebase Analytics receives usage events without those health values and stays active even when the switch is off. Deleting local entries does not automatically delete analytics data that has already been sent. You can delete your diary entries in Settings. BellySignal is a self-recording tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose IBS, food intolerance or other conditions, determine the cause of symptoms, or provide treatment. Discuss concerns with a qualified healthcare professional. Privacy Policy: https://bellysignal.com/en/legal/privacy/ Terms of Service: https://bellysignal.com/en/legal/terms/
What’s new
Version 1.6.3 · Updated October 23, 2026
• Near the end of digestion, BellySignal now asks "How's your belly?". Meals you answer leave the digestion card, and you can answer the rest in "Logged food" • When you log a meal, your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show roughly when digestion should finish. Near the end, tap "Fine" to log it right away, or "Bloated" or "It hurts" to open the app and choose how strong it is. Tap "Turn on" once to start (iOS 17 or later) • The + button is now split into "Eating" and "Drinking". Log coffee and alcohol under "Drinking". Coffee you drink (decaf too) and alcohol now count in the digestion card and your patterns • New "Heart rate variability and gut log" card on the "Trends" tab. It shows your overnight heart rate variability from Apple Health next to your gut log, day by day • Belly pain and bloating now read "None", "Mild", "Moderate" or "Severe" instead of numbers like "1/7", with a 7-dot scale for the exact level. A "Fine" answer shows as one line: "Felt fine after a meal" • Period tracking now asks for your consent the first time you turn it on. It's off by default. Tap + and then "Period" to turn it on. If you've already logged periods, we'll ask once • Fixed the app crashing when you tapped "+1 cup" or "Took it" on a notification • Fixed the log sheet opening twice when you tapped + twice quickly • Clearer, more natural wording in every language
