ReadUnlock: Read to Unlock

ReadUnlock turns your child's screen time into reading time. Pick the apps to lock, set a daily reading goal, and hand the phone back. Games and videos stay locked until your child reads real stories inside ReadUnlock — then everything unlocks until midnight. No nagging, no negotiating. Reading first, every day. HOW IT WORKS 1. A parent sets the daily goal and chooses which apps to block. 2. Your child reads stories matched to their level and age. 3. When the goal is met, they tap once — and their apps unlock for the day. A LIBRARY THAT GROWS WITH YOUR CHILD • 160+ illustrated-feel stories across three reading levels (ages 4–6, 6–9, 9–12) • Classic fables, world folk tales, myths, and original stories • Comprehension quizzes after every story, with shuffled answers to keep kids honest • Read-aloud narration with word-by-word highlighting for early readers A READING BUDDY THEY'LL LOVE • Choose from five buddies — Pip the Owl, Rusty the Fox, Luna the Cat, Bruno the Bear, or Clover the Bunny • Their buddy grows taller with every hour read, from Hatchling to Legend • Each buddy gives the whole app its own look and colors • Streaks, badges, and a Reading Journey screen that celebrates real progress BUILT FOR PARENTS • Powered by Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) — blocking works even when ReadUnlock is closed • PIN-protected parent settings • Reset, override, or lock apps anytime PRIVACY FIRST ReadUnlock has no accounts, no ads, and no tracking. Reading data stays on the device. Apple's Family Controls never shares which apps are installed. See our full privacy policy: readunlock.github.io/Privacy-Policy READUNLOCK PRO The first stories at every level are free forever. A Pro subscription (monthly or annual, with free trial where available) unlocks the full story library and the weekly parent report. Payment is charged to the parent's Apple ID, renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and can be managed in the ReadUnlock settings.
