About Fluent79: PTE Speaking Coach

Walk into your PTE Academic speaking test already knowing roughly where you stand. Fluent79 is a focused, speaking-only practice coach built for serious candidates chasing the top migration bands — Superior English and the maximum points on your Australia skilled-migration application. (For PTE tests taken on or after 7 Aug 2025, the Speaking-skill thresholds are 54 Competent / 76 Proficient / 88 Superior; the app's score bands follow these.) Most prep apps spread thin across all four sections. Fluent79 does one thing properly: it makes your speaking score predictable. Practice every scored PTE speaking task, get an instant estimated score, and fix the one thing holding you back. ALL 7 SCORED SPEAKING TASKS, REAL PTE FORMAT • Read Aloud — read a short text aloud against a prep timer • Repeat Sentence — listen and repeat, with studio-recorded US / UK / AU voices like the real exam • Describe Image — study a bar, line, pie, or table chart and describe it in 40 seconds • Retell Lecture — hear a lecture once, then retell its key points • Answer Short Question — rapid-fire vocabulary questions, free for everyone • Summarize Group Discussion — NEW: hear three speakers once, take notes, then summarize in two minutes • Respond to a Situation — NEW: hear an everyday situation, then respond to the person in 40 seconds PRONUNCIATION COACH Look up any English word and hear it syllable by syllable, see where the stress falls, and learn the one mistake to avoid. The app quietly tracks the words that trip you up and builds personalised reading drills from them. INSTANT, HONEST SCORING Every attempt breaks down into Fluency, Content, and Pronunciation, plus an estimated overall score on the familiar 10–90 scale. Fluency is measured on your device from your actual speech — speaking rate, pauses and hesitations — not guessed at by an AI, and so is word accuracy on Read Aloud and Repeat Sentence. On open-answer tasks, AI checks your answer against the key points. Scores are clearly labelled "Estimated": they're a practice gauge to track your trend, not an official Pearson result. ONE TIP, NOT TWENTY After each attempt you get exactly one clear, actionable coaching tip — the single most useful change to make next. No overwhelming checklist, just the next thing to fix. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your recordings stay on your phone — they are never uploaded to our servers. On open-answer tasks, only the text of your answer is sent for scoring. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. WHY FLUENT79 • Affordable — a fraction of the price of the all-in PTE apps • Speaking-only and built for the Superior English / Australia PR goal — bands match the current (post-Aug-2025) thresholds FREE TO START Practice up to 5 scored attempts a day on Read Aloud and Repeat Sentence, free — pronunciation lookups included. What’s new

Version 1.6 · Updated September 24, 2026

Two new speaking tasks — Fluent79 now covers every scored PTE speaking task. • Summarize Group Discussion: hear three people discuss a topic once, take notes, then summarize it in up to two minutes. Afterwards you'll see which points you covered, and the full discussion. • Respond to a Situation: read and hear an everyday situation, then speak to the person in up to 40 seconds. • Both follow Pearson's current format, use studio-recorded voices, and join your Daily Practice mix. They're part of Pro. • A small ring next to Settings shows while studio audio is still downloading. • If a coaching tip is slow to arrive, you'll now see it loading, and you can retry if it doesn't come. • Send feedback or report a problem straight from Settings. • Scores for the existing tasks are unchanged.
