About LegacyMGMT
LegacyMGMT is a realism-first life and dynasty simulator. Finish school, build a career, invest, buy real estate, fall in love, and raise children. Then hand it all to an heir. When you die you do not start over, because the next generation takes the helm and the dynasty continues. How long can your family's name, and its fortune, last? • LIVE A FULL LIFE. Move through school, a career with real ladders, friendships, romance, marriage, and a family of your own. • BUILD WEALTH. Grow your money through salaries, savings, the stock market, retirement accounts, and a property empire. • A LIVING WORLD. Contend with inflation, shifting tax policy, a market that booms and busts, and a city government that moves on its own. • RISE IN TOWN. Build a reputation, give to local causes, endow a family foundation, and run for city council or mayor. • REAL CONSEQUENCES. The people you love drift away if you neglect them, hard living eventually catches up with you, and every choice you make compounds over a lifetime. • LEAVE A LEGACY. Wills, trusts, estate planning, and inheritance carry your empire across generations, and your family's reputation compounds so that a strong name gives every heir a head start. No two lives are the same. You might be born poor and claw your way up, or born wealthy and try not to squander it, but every choice is yours.

What’s new
Version 1.12.8 · Updated October 27, 2026
Version 1.12.8 is our biggest update yet. Crime now goes through a real court, you can own cars, City Hall runs on real votes and budgets, and the darker choices in life come with detectives. COURT AND CRIME Charges go to court now. You post bail or wait in jail, hire a lawyer, weigh a plea offer, and decide how to handle your trial. Lawyers are people you meet with and pay. Skip a court date and a warrant goes out, and the people you keep seeing can lead the police to you. FIGHTS, AND WORSE You can start a fight or provoke someone into throwing the first punch. The other side can press charges, and self-defense counts. Adults can also take a life, by their own hand or by hiring someone. Detectives decide who to question, and anything the victim left you is held until you're cleared. CARS Buy anything from an everyday sedan to a hypercar at auction. Finance it, insure it, and watch it lose value. Cars break down, get stolen and get wrecked, and a DUI is a real charge. CITY HALL Council members vote one by one, the city has a monthly budget, and property taxes move. You can lobby on the issues you care about, fill vacancies, and run for re-election as the incumbent. PROPERTY Renovations take months, and a tenant in the way is your call. Co-owners negotiate a buyout instead of taking your number. Fires, floods and storms can hit any building you own, so insurance on rentals matters. FAMILY AND MONEY You might grow up with a single parent, with the other one out of the picture or gone. Your partner gets a say when you ask them to move in. You can adopt on your own. Large gifts count against the annual and lifetime gift tax limits. A divorce splits the real assets, and your parents' help depends on what they can afford. A grown heir can die before taking over, at the same odds as anyone their age. FIXES A surviving spouse now inherits their share, home prices track inflation, and we fixed a long list of smaller problems.
