Version 1.9.0 is about the family, and about deciding when a life is done rather than playing out every year to the end. You can take the whole family out at once now, not one person at a time. A meal together, a day out, or a few days away, priced to the size of your household, and it reaches the people a one-on-one visit tends to skip, your grandchildren among them. Everyone comes home a little closer, and someone always has a better time than the rest. You no longer have to wait out the years. When you're ready, you can hand the dynasty to a grown heir while you're still alive and carry on as an elder they can visit, or bring the current life to a close on your own terms and take over as your heir. Passing it all down early is taxed the same as it would be at the end, so it is a choice of timing, not a loophole. When you grow your family through adoption, you choose who you welcome home, a son, a daughter, or whoever needs one, instead of leaving it to a coin toss you didn't ask for. And it is easier to find your way into a home of your own. Buying a place to live in was always there, but it stayed hidden until you already owned one. Now, while you're renting, the game points you to it, so you can buy a home, move in, and be done with rent. When your home is too small for everyone, you now decide how to handle it instead of just wearing the strain. Have the kids double up in shared rooms, which takes the edge off, or give them the bedrooms and take the couch yourself, knowing the bad sleep will follow you to work. A bigger place, rented or bought, is still the real answer, but you are not stuck while you get there. Plus a round of fixes. A newborn who inherits the line early no longer arrives with a child of their own, and a few lines that read the same too often were varied. Thank you for playing, and for writing in.
