What's new in 2.17.0: • Your bike says what to do next. The garage card and the bike screen now name the part that needs you and what to do about it, such as "Plan the dropper's full service in about a month". It stands on hard data, like the makers' service intervals and your own measurements, never on Loam's own wear estimates. The home screen widget names the same part. • Parts to check are not parts due. Parts Loam can only estimate, like brake pads, now read CHECK in grey everywhere, on their own line such as "Inspect the front brake pads". Their screen leads with the inspection: Log inspection records what you found, and you mark them replaced when they are worn. • You choose the garage dials. Your fork and shock stay on the bike's card, and the other dials are yours to fill, such as the derailleur with its battery, or the chain. Long-press a dial or tap Edit dials. • Rear sag is measured on the shock. The sag tool has Fork and Rear Shock modes, and a rear shock's sag is now measured along the shock's own stroke, not the rear wheel's travel. It used to give a rear shock far too much sag, such as 45 mm at the o-ring where 16 mm was right, so if you set your shock with it, set it again. A stroke that looks like wheel travel is flagged and never used. • Your tyre keeps its own distance. A tyre counts its km from the day it went on, and topping up sealant no longer restarts that count. Its history says what each entry was, such as Sealant or Replace, newest first. On an older tyre, choose "This was a tyre replacement" on the entry for when it went on to get its km back; where Loam cannot work it out, it says "Distance not known", never zero. • A new part starts from what you tell Loam. Adding a part asks how long it has been on the bike, from newly fitted today to history unknown, instead of claiming a service today. Tapping the last service asks whether to log one or correct the date. • Part screens get to the point. Each part screen leads with its evidence and one clear action. Beside a forecast on a linked bike, "Why this forecast" shows your riding pace and the interval it counts against. • Remove gear from its row. Each gear row in the Kit has a menu to edit it or remove it to history, and a gear screen's menu can replace it with a new one. • A replaced part keeps its setup history. Replacing a fork used to delete its saved setups. They now go with it to the Shed, and come back if you refit it. • New rides show up sooner. Coming back to Loam now checks Strava and Bosch for new rides, as a fresh start does. • The web garage matches the app. Your garage at loamlog.com/app now names the same part as the app, shows parts to check the way the app does, lists your chosen dials, and shows each tyre's km since it was fitted, in the CSV export too. • Also fixed: sheets rise above the keyboard; a tyre's months since sealant match its dial; on a tyre, Mark sealant done is now the main button, not Mark replaced; the chain wear hint gives your chain's own limit, such as SRAM's 0.8%; Settings shows BLOCKED, not ON, when your phone blocks notifications; a rotor measured thicker than new is refused; the crash sheet no longer ticks gear for you; Shed reasons and trip dates appear in your language; and the sample garage no longer contradicts itself.

The developer, YEVGENIY GAVRIKOV, reported these privacy practices to Apple.
