About kurl log - a quiet weblog

Long posts on the blog, short thoughts in Notes. kurl blog is a quiet weblog. It focuses on the basics: who wrote what, when — and which post it leads to next. Read · Posts that read like paper — the chrome steps back, only the writing remains. · Highlights — mark a sentence and add a thought, and other readers can pick up the conversation right on that line. · Translation in place — tap Translate to read a post from another language in your own. · Series — read installments in order and resume where you left off. Write · A canvas that ships what you type — Markdown (headings, lists, checklists, tables, code, images) renders as the final look while you write. Callouts and link cards go in straight from the Format menu. · Autosave and revisions — drafts save themselves; every publish keeps a version. If the post was changed on another device first, kurl asks instead of overwriting it. · Your source stays standard Markdown you can take anywhere. · Publish to blog.kurl.me/@you — the same post and address on web and app. Notes · Thoughts too short for a post go in Notes — add photos, polls and link cards, and keep writing in a thread. · Replies, reposts and quotes keep the conversation going, and notes that quote a post gather under it. · Connected to other servers — follow accounts on servers like Mastodon and Misskey, and your notes reach your followers there too. You can turn this off in Settings. · Content warnings, blurred sensitive photos, mute, block and keyword filters keep out what you'd rather not see. Connect · Collections — gather posts and leave one line on why each belongs. Good reads gain context. · Tap a notification to go straight to that comment, that highlighted line. For writers · Analytics — views as a curve, per-post performance, followers and link clicks. Context, not just numbers. · Turn the links in your post into kurl short links and you can see their clicks too. Small and deep. Instead of scattering many posts, kurl blog cares that one post truly lands — and leads to the next.
