About Aethel
Aethel is an intelligent fitness companion designed for both strength training and calisthenics athletes who want to train with purpose, track their progress, and achieve lasting results. Whether you're building muscle in the gym, mastering bodyweight skills, or simply striving to become stronger, Aethel helps you understand your training, recovery, and performance over time. NEW IN VERSION 2.0 - Completely Redesigned Every screen has been redrawn with soft depth, warm shadows, and careful typography. Same app, entirely different feel. - Apple Watch App Start a workout on your iPhone and your Watch starts by itself. It records your heart rate throughout the session and saves it alongside the workout in Apple Health. On your wrist you get heart rate, elapsed time, and your rest timer. - Readiness Score A single number combining muscle fatigue, recovery status, and heart rate variability, so you can tell at a glance whether today is a day to push or to hold back. - Workout Sharing Every workout has a short code. Send it to a training partner and they import it in one tap. - Session Recovery If the app closes mid-workout, you pick up exactly where you left off. Sets, weights, and timers all stay in place. FEATURES - Workout Tracking Log and manage your workouts with a fast and intuitive training experience. - Gym & Calisthenics Support Create and track both weightlifting and bodyweight-based training programs tailored to your goals. - Muscle Recovery Insights Visualize muscle fatigue and recovery status on a real-time anatomical map. Every set you log feeds a per-muscle fatigue model grounded in published research, and fatigue decays according to each muscle group's actual recovery window. - Calisthenics Skill Tree Work toward the muscle up, front lever, planche, and handstand with tracked progressions and clear prerequisites. - 157 Hand-Illustrated Exercises Every exercise has its own original illustration, with the muscles involved highlighted by primary and secondary role. - Progress Monitoring Track strength gains, training volume, personal records, and long-term improvements. - Detailed Analytics Understand your performance through clear statistics and actionable insights. - Apple Health Integration Seamlessly connect with Apple Health to keep your fitness data synchronized, including workouts, heart rate, and calories. - Personalized Training Experience Build custom routines, monitor consistency, and stay focused on your objectives. WHY AETHEL? Training is more than logging exercises. Real progress comes from understanding how your body responds to effort, recovery, and consistency. Aethel combines workout tracking, muscle recovery analysis, performance insights, and progress monitoring into a single platform designed for gym enthusiasts, strength athletes, and calisthenics practitioners alike. Whether your goal is your next personal record, your first pull-up, a muscle-up, or long-term strength development, Aethel helps you stay on track every step of the way. Train smarter. Recover better. Build your strongest self. Privacy Policy: https://aethel-workout.pages.dev/privacy Terms of Use: https://aethel-workout.pages.dev/terms
What’s new
Version 2.0.2 · Updated October 11, 2026
Illustrations for every exercise All 235 exercises in the catalogue now have their own illustration, with the working muscles highlighted. No more generic drawings. Archive your routines Routines you no longer use leave the list and move to "Archived", at the bottom of the page. Restore them whenever you want, with everything intact. History moved to the calendar Past workouts no longer take up the home screen: you'll find them in a single row at the bottom of the Calendar, with the full list one tap away. Seasonal and event themes Spring, summer, autumn and winter dress the app in different palettes and details. Event themes, like the Halloween one, only appear during the holiday: buy one and it's yours forever. A smoother workout - The set table is easier to read and your previous session is visible right away, without opening the detail view - You can add a note to a workout - The variation you picked (grip, stance) shows next to the exercise name - Reordering and deleting only in edit mode: no more exercises removed by accident Body and progress The Body screen has been redesigned: muscles you've never trained stand out at a glance, and sample data is no longer hidden behind a dim overlay. Fixes - Quick workout lost when leaving the screen: the session is no longer interrupted, and one ended on Apple Watch is now recorded - Interface frozen while the rest timer was running - Large system text: unnecessary labels now hide instead of wrapping and breaking the layout
