HideLog

The first iOS app built for leathercrafters who've outgrown a spreadsheet. Track every hide, every project, and every dollar — in one place. No more guessing which tannery that 4oz veg-tan came from. No more re-counting hardware before a build. No more typing the same spec list every time you post a finished piece. HideLog is a purpose-built tracker for the leather craft hobby — and the side hustle it can become. 【What You Can Do】 ▷ Leather & Material Inventory Log every hide and supply you own: tannery (Horween, Hermann Oak, Wickett & Craig, Badalassi Carlo, and more), leather type (Chromexcel, Veg-Tan, Shell Cordovan), thickness in oz, finish, color, stock quantity, unit price, and purchase source. Covers leather, thread, hardware, and dye. No entry limit. ▷ Project Log Record every build: item type, cover photo, status, labor hours, and notes. Free up to 5 projects. ▷ Step-by-Step Log Log each step of a build — cutting, skiving, stitching, edge finishing — with photo, notes, and duration. See exactly how a piece came together, not just the finished result. ▷ Cost Calculation Link the materials you used to a project and HideLog totals your material cost automatically from each material's unit price. Add labor hours and an hourly rate for a true total cost — no spreadsheet math required. ▷ Suggested Selling Price Turn your total cost into a suggested Etsy listing price, with your margin and typical marketplace + payment processing fees built into the math. Know your number before you list a piece for sale. ▷ Auto Stock Deduction Mark a project complete and HideLog automatically deducts the linked materials from your stock. Your leather and hardware counts stay accurate without a manual recount. ▷ Pattern Storage Attach pattern files (PDF or image) to any project, so your patterns are never buried three folders deep in your camera roll. ▷ Tool Tracker Track condition and maintenance notes for knives, punches, bevelers, pricking irons, and more. No entry limit. ▷ Share Cards & Reddit Copy Generate an image card with your project's specs — leather, thread, hardware, time, cost — ready to post on Reddit, Instagram, or X. One tap also copies a ready-to-post spec list straight to your clipboard, so you never retype it by hand again. Three themes: Dark, Light, Craft Paper. ▷ Wishlist Keep a running list of leather and tools you want to buy, with estimated price and a purchase link, so your next supply order is already half-planned. ▷ Export & Import Export projects and materials as CSV, or a full ZIP backup with photos and pattern files. Import a CSV or ZIP previously exported from HideLog — free for everyone. 【Who It's For】 · Leathercrafters whose hide and hardware stash has outgrown a spreadsheet · Makers who want a real cost number before pricing a commission · Etsy and craft-fair sellers who need actual numbers, not a guess · Anyone who's typed out the same spec list on Reddit one too many times 【Your Data Stays on Your Device】 Everything is stored locally on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded to external servers. No account required. No risk of losing your stash data if a service shuts down. 【Pricing】 · Free: Up to 5 projects. Unlimited materials, tools, and wishlist items. Cost calculation, suggested selling price, auto stock deduction, pattern storage, CSV/ZIP export, and data import are all included for free. Share cards carry a "Tracked with HideLog" watermark. · HideLog Pro (one-time purchase, $6.99): Unlimited projects + the option to turn off the share card watermark.
