About MoonDoku: Sudoku Nights

MoonDoku is Sudoku made for winding down: a satisfying puzzle, a painted world to solve it in, a cat for company, and something to come back to tomorrow. ONE FREE PUZZLE. EVERY NIGHT. At midnight a new Nightly arrives, and every player gets the same board, wherever they are. • No account needed to play • Hints for when a board goes stubborn • Matching numbers and your row, column and box light up as you go • Sign in to see where your time ranks EVERY NIGHT BECOMES A STAR Each Nightly you finish places a star in your own sky. Night by night, your stars join up into constellations: a bell, a mug of cocoa, a crescent moon, a kitten. Each month offers four to choose from. Miss a night and nothing is undone: your drawing waits for your next star. A tiny ritual. A sky that's yours. A WORLD OF YOUR OWN Rain over a neon bay. Moonlight on a quiet sea. Golden leaves drifting over a moonlit lake. Ten painted worlds, gently moving and all included, and you can switch between them mid-puzzle. MoonDoku FM plays three stations (chillhop, lo-fi jazz and downtempo), with an ambience mixer on top: cafe, rain, fireplace, ocean and storm. Start your own music or a podcast and MoonDoku steps aside. A CAT WHO LIVES HERE She blinks, looks around, flicks her tail, and now and then looks up when the world outside her window changes. Tap to pet her, and keep going for a purr. Press and hold to change her coat: tuxedo, calico, siamese, a longhaired ragdoll and more, eight in all. MORE SUDOKU, WHENEVER YOU WANT Want to keep going? One purchase opens 5,000 puzzles, from Easy to Expert. Each is graded so a Hard is honestly hard, and every one can be solved by logic alone, without guessing. They live on your iPhone or iPad, so once they're yours they play fully offline, on a plane or in a cabin with no bars. (The Nightly is dealt fresh each night, so it needs a connection.) Yours to keep, with no subscription, and it works with Family Sharing. Signing in is optional. With Apple or Google, your streak and your sky follow you between devices. There are seventeen achievements to earn in Game Center. Built for iPhone, and for iPad in both orientations. No ads. No subscription. Just you, your Sudoku, and a world worth returning to.

What’s new

Version 1.4 · Updated October 15, 2026

MoonDoku now speaks Korean and Japanese. Also in this update: • The cat comes into the game with you. On iPhone she stands on top of the board while you play, and reacts when a number is wrong. Tap to pet her, or press and hold to change her coat. • Hint now asks before it spends one, so a stray tap can't cost you. • The note that explains your first wrong number now sits at the far edge of the board, clear of the squares it points to. • A tap just outside the board now picks the edge square you were aiming for. • Plus smaller fixes.
