About FridgeUp!
How often do you throw away food without realizing it's expired? FridgeUp! helps you keep everything under control with just a few taps. Add your food items, set the expiration date and let FridgeUp! do the rest. You'll get a notification before anything expires — so you waste less food. ——— HOW IT WORKS ——— Add food items easily: • Scan the barcode: if the product is in the Open Food Facts database, its name is filled in for you • Photograph the expiration date printed on the packaging • Or choose from the list or type the name yourself Stay always updated: • Customizable notifications: choose how many days in advance you want to be reminded • List organized by urgency: expired, expiring soon, still fresh • App badge showing how many items have expired Organize your fridge: • Edit name, emoji and date at any time • Mark items as consumed with a swipe Share with the people you live with: • Shared fridge: create a group and invite family or flatmates with a code or a QR • What someone adds or uses, everyone sees right away • Joining a group is free; creating one needs FridgeUp! Pro ——— FRIDGEUP! PRO ——— Unlock the full potential of the app: • Separate lists: Fridge, Freezer and Pantry, each with its own expiry dates • Create a Shared fridge for the whole family • Home screen widget: expiry dates always in sight • Custom themes to personalize the app's appearance • Alternative icons for your home screen ——— PRIVACY ——— FridgeUp! never asks for your email or an account: we don't know who you are. Your food list stays on your device and, if you turn on syncing, in your own iCloud space. When you scan a barcode, only the barcode number is sent to the public Open Food Facts database to find the product name. Only if you create or join a Shared fridge do you choose a name that the others see, and that group's food items are stored on a server in Europe (Firebase), visible to the group's members. To learn which features get used we collect usage statistics via TelemetryDeck, tied to an anonymous device code and never to your identity. Start today. Your fridge will thank you.
