About Peloria: Plant Light Meter

Most plant apps guess at light. Peloria gives you a calibrated, repeatable reading - then helps you care for the rest. It is an all-in-one home for 391 plant species: measure the light at any spot, get a species-specific verdict, then track watering, feeding, repotting, humidity, and a photo journal, all in one place. MEASURE THE LIGHT - Pick your plant, point your phone at the spot, and measure. - A guided 3-sample reading with one-tap calibration (a sheet of white paper in daylight) and light-source correction for 6 sources (sunlight, fluorescent, full-spectrum LED, grow LED, HPS, CMH). - Get a 0-100 score with a clear traffic-light verdict (low / ok / enough) and one line of advice. - DLI made simple: your light becomes a Daily Light Integral and is compared to what your species needs. Save readings to build a light history per plant and per spot, in lux / fc / DLI. - Readings are a relative light indicator, calibrated to your device - not a lab-grade lux meter. ALL-IN-ONE CARE FOR 391 SPECIES - A built-in care database for 391 plants covers light, water, fertilizer, repotting, humidity, and ideal temperature, all in one place. - Care reminders for all five: watering, feeding, repotting, humidity, and leaf care, tuned to your measured light and the season. - No more juggling sticky notes and generic schedules. Each plant knows what it needs. MAKE IT YOURS - Give every pot a nickname, so two of the same species stay separate and personal. - Keep a photo growth journal for each plant: add progress photos and notes, set a cover photo, and sort oldest-first to watch it grow. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS - Works offline, on device, with no account and no sign-up. - Back up and restore everything - plants, care history, and photos - to your own Google Drive or iCloud, for free. Your data is always yours to keep and move. FREE, NO SUBSCRIPTION Every feature is free. Peloria is supported by light, non-intrusive ads (never during measurement). Prefer no ads? Remove ads forever with a single one-time purchase. No subscription, no hidden fees. Stop losing plants to too little light. Measure the spot, then care for every plant with confidence.

What’s new

Version 1.1.6 · Updated September 15, 2026

Peloria now warns when a spot is too bright - and Drive backup works again. - Too bright for your plant? A "Too bright" signal appears and the score drops, so you can move it before leaves scorch. - Limits are species-specific: all 391 species carry an upper light threshold based on growing literature; past readings are re-evaluated too. - Fixed Google Drive backup not working.
