About PICUCalc
PICUCalc: precision, speed and safety in every pediatric decision Built for far more than the pediatric ICU, PICUCalc is the go-to reference for healthcare professionals who care for children: pediatricians, emergency physicians, intensivists, general practitioners and specialists. It turns medical complexity into instant calculations so you can focus on what matters most: your patient's life. Time is critical. Enter weight, height, age and sex once, and PICUCalc calculates and personalizes everything else, with no formulas to memorize and no manual math. KEY FEATURES • Infusions and drugs: 43 medications with preparation and infusion rate calculated by weight (vasoactive agents, sedation and analgesia, and others), with peripheral-access dilution when there is no central line. • Antibiotics with automatic renal adjustment: more than 60 antimicrobials with daily dose, dose per administration and maximum dose, recalculated according to renal function and indication. • Scores and diagnostic criteria: more than 40 validated scales commonly used in PICU, emergency medicine, pulmonology, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology and rheumatology. • Immunology and hematology: age-based normal immunoglobulin values, lymphocyte subpopulations and a structured approach to diagnosing anemia. • Arterial blood gases: from the classic Henderson-Hasselbalch approach to Stewart's, with oxygen transport adjusted to your local barometric pressure plus additional metabolic and renal calculators. • Emergencies: pediatric CPR based on PALS 2025 with timer and voice alerts, rapid sequence intubation, HEAVEN criteria for difficult airway, initial mechanical ventilation settings and status epilepticus management. EVERY CALCULATION CITES ITS SOURCE PALS, AES, ISPAD, ESPGHAN/ESPEN, PAHO/WHO, Nelson's, Taketomo and the original paper behind each score. No number without a source. OFFLINE AND PRIVATE Works 100% offline. Collects no personal or patient data. No ads and no sign-up. Leave generic calculators and tedious searching behind: PICUCalc brings pediatric calculations and protocols together in one fast interface, created by a pediatric intensivist. Available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French, with instant language switching. Clinical support and reference tool. It does not replace the treating physician's judgment. Always verify doses and parameters against your institution's protocol before administering.
