Void Drifter — What's New The Frontier * The map has been redrawn: civilised lanes wind through open wilderness, and the further you stray from a lane, the richer and more dangerous space becomes. * Every deep sector has its own look * Some frontier sectors specialise in a rare resource, and the rarest ones grow only there. Stations * Out in the wilds you will find damaged stations: basic trade, fuel and fresh armour plating, but little else. Their failing shields may not keep hunters away, though you are always safe while docked * Every station now has a Sector Map showing the surrounding sectors, their specialties and the stations you have already visited, so you can plan your next run before you undock Prospecting & Mining * Your scanner reads deeper as your pilot level grows, and resources you have never found stay a mystery until your first find, which is celebrated on screen. Deep sectors are now noticeably richer in precious ore Ships & Flight * A new Standard hull is on sale at every trade post: the ship you know with room for one more module. Ships from dealers now burn with their own engine colour * A nav ping stays on screen while you stand still, giving you time to read it Fixes * Fixed a crash that could occur while loading into the game, mined-out rocks no longer cost armour plating in warp, and the mining tip now only appears when there is something to extract We're continuing to sharpen the scan loop, ship progression and input feel based on player feedback.
