About AerialScore

AerialScore is a free NIST drone evaluation scoring app built for UAS trainers, proctors, and public safety agencies conducting Unmanned Aircraft System flight evaluations at Levels 1 through 5. Whether you are law enforcement, fire departments, emergency management, or search and rescue operations, AerialScore gives you everything you need to run a professional sUAS Pilot evaluation from start to finish, no subscription required. —— SCORE NIST EVALUATIONS WITH CONFIDENCE —— AerialScore guides you through every step of the NIST Standard Test Method evaluation process. Score alignment and acuity for all bucket positions across every test type, enforce section timers with haptic and audio confirmation, and validate scores before generating a final scorecard. Supports all NIST test layouts including Position, Traverse, Orbit, Inspect, Recon, Perch, Post, Alley, Ground, and Wall. ——— PILOT HISTORY AND PROGRESS TRACKING ——— Every completed evaluation is attached to the pilot being tested. View a pilot's full testing history across all levels and sessions — section-by-section score breakdowns, lap times, pass/fail records, and improvement tracking over time. Proctors can instantly see where a pilot is improving and where additional practice is needed before their next evaluation. ——— PROFESSIONAL PDF SCORECARDS ——— Generate professional PDF scorecards instantly at the end of every test. Each scorecard includes full pilot and proctor information, test conditions, alignment and acuity scores, section lap times, session notes, and your agency logo. Share via email, upload to cloud storage, or send directly to saved recipients — all from the Results screen. ——— ANIMATED FLIGHT GUIDES ——— Step-by-step animated flight path visualizations for every NIST test type and layout help proctors brief pilots accurately and verify correct drone positioning during the evaluation. Combined multi-section guides cover Level 2 Full, Level 3 Full with Acuity, and Level 4 and 5 All Five configurations. Official NIST Test Lane Images are included for every layout. ——— BUILT FOR THE FIELD ——— AerialScore is designed to work where evaluations actually happen — remote airfields, indoor facilities, and locations with no cell coverage. Every feature works fully offline. The pilot intake form saves your common test conditions so repeat sessions take seconds to set up. ——— KEY FEATURES ——— - Full scoring support for NIST Levels 1 through 5 - All 10 test lane layouts supported - Pilot history with progress tracking - Animated step-by-step flight guides for every test type - Official NIST Test Lane Images - Built-in section timer with lap recording - Professional PDF scorecard generation - Agency logo on every PDF - Send PDFs via email or upload to cloud storage - Saved PDF recipient address book - Pilot intake form with saved default values - Settings backup and restore - Works fully offline — no internet required - Free for every user — all features included ——— SUPPORT AERIALSCCORE ——— AerialScore is completely free. What’s new

Version 2026.10.2 · Updated October 7, 2026

If a pilot fails a test, a Restart Test button now appears on the Results screen. Tapping it returns to Pilot Intake with all information already filled in, ready to run the test again. From the Home screen, use the multi-select button to choose multiple test sessions and share all of their PDFs in a single action. A direct link to the official NIST sticker PDFs on the NIST website is now available in the options menu for each applicable test lane type. A new Partial option is now available on each alignment row, awarding 1 point when a drone partially meets the alignment target — between Not Aligned (0 pts) and Aligned (full pts). A reminder popup now appears when entering Pilot Intake, pointing to Passing Scoresheet Settings where passing thresholds can be customized. Defaults are 100% Alignment and 60% Acuity. A new Reset Test option on the scoresheet lets you restart a test without re-entering Pilot Intake information. Save your current Drone and Lane Conditions as a preset from the Pilot Intake form and reuse them for future tests with one tap. AerialScore now supports Dark Mode. Switch between light and dark appearance in Settings under Appearance.
