About DailyTrace: The Shape of Days
DailyTrace is an on-device time journal for recording activities and reviewing how time is distributed. Record activities Start, switch, and stop activities on iPhone or Apple Watch. Add past records, correct start and end times, and attach short notes. Widgets, Live Activities, and the Dynamic Island display the current timer and provide quick controls. Use calendar events as a reference After calendar access is granted and calendars are selected, their events can appear on Home. Selecting a timed event prefills the note and start and end times of a new record. Nothing is saved until you confirm. You can also tap an event’s play button, choose an activity, and start timing now. DailyTrace does not classify events or modify your calendar. Review recorded time Use a 24-hour timeline and weekly, monthly, and past-365-day statistics. Charts and heatmaps show when activities occurred and how recorded time was distributed. Unrecorded time remains blank; DailyTrace does not infer activities, assign productivity scores, or require streaks. Share and export Create share images for selected periods or export activities and records as CSV. Data and privacy No account is required. Activities, notes, time records, and calendar processing remain on the device.
