About Expose AI
Real or AI? Expose AI tells you in seconds — a clear verdict, a confidence score and the evidence behind it. Check any photo, screenshot or link, entirely on your phone. That dating profile, marketplace listing, news photo or viral post: check it before you trust it. No upload, no account — the image never leaves your device. NEW IN THIS VERSION • Deep Scan: two stronger AI models study 12 views of the image — less than half as many “Uncertain” verdicts as a Standard scan* • Region map: see where the AI signal is, and catch AI edits or pasted areas in real photos • Videos & GIFs: checked frame by frame, with one verdict for the whole clip • Find the source: look an image up on Google Lens, Bing or TinEye to see where it first appeared • Check a link: paste a post, page or image link — X (Twitter), Reddit, news sites, blogs — and pick the image to check • Paste from the clipboard, or share images, videos and web pages to Expose AI from any app • “Spot the AI” guide: 10 tells to check yourself, from hands and text to light and shadows • PDF reports (Pro): save or send a record of any verdict, with the file’s SHA-256 fingerprint • Now in English, Español, Português, Deutsch, Français and 日本語 HOW IT WORKS • Metadata check: reads Content Credentials (C2PA), XMP and AI-generator tags — an image that declares Firefly, FLUX, Stable Diffusion or another generator is flagged on the spot • On-device AI models, trained on the visual fingerprints of AI image generators, handle everything else: screenshots, stripped metadata, re-saved files • Standard scan: one fast model, unlimited • Deep Scan: two models × six views each, plus a nine-region scan • A clear call — Likely AI-generated, Likely real or Uncertain — and a “How we decided” card that shows which signal made it CHECK IMAGES FROM ANYWHERE • Choose from your photo library, paste, or share from Photos, Safari and social apps • Check a whole profile or listing at once with Batch (Pro, up to 12 images) • Crop a screenshot down to just the picture • Keep a private history of every verdict, and share a verdict card in one tap PRIVATE BY DESIGN Every scan runs on your device. No account, no sign-up, no upload — detection even works offline. Links are opened directly from your phone, like a browser would. Your history stays on your phone, and you can pause or clear it any time. FREE AND PRO • Free: unlimited Standard scans and 3 Deep Scans to start — plus one more for each short ad you choose to watch. Ad-supported. • Expose AI Pro: unlimited Deep Scans and region maps, Deep Scan on every video frame, Batch check, PDF reports and no ads. A NOTE ON ACCURACY AI-image detection is probabilistic — a signal, not proof. Results vary with editing, compression, screenshots and brand-new generators, and metadata can be stripped or faked. Videos are judged by their frames, so the newest AI video generators can slip through. When the signal is weak, Expose AI says “Uncertain” instead of guessing. Use it as one tool among several, never as the final word about a picture or a person. *Measured on 12,627 test images: about 10% Uncertain with a Deep Scan vs 28% with a Standard scan. SUBSCRIPTION Expose AI Pro is offered as an auto-renewable weekly or annual subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The exact price and billing period are shown in the app before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store account settings.
