About Nerve: Private Messenger

Nerve is a passkey-only messenger for direct conversations, private groups, public channels, and user-added media sources. PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS • Create a random Nerve ID without giving Nerve a phone number, email address or password. • Sign in with a passkey using your device's passkey provider. • Direct messages and private groups are end-to-end encrypted. Public channels and their posts are public by design. • Manage trusted devices and passkeys, log out, or delete your account. MESSAGES AND GROUPS • Start conversations by Nerve ID or @handle. • Create private groups and manage their members. • Discover, follow and report public channels. • Pin, mute and archive conversations. YOUR APPS AND MEDIA • Add compatible HTTPS manifests or MusicFree music-plugin links yourself. No media service or subscription is included. • Browse the catalogs and search options supplied by your chosen sources. • Play compatible video streams and listen to audio with a playback queue and background playback. • Play compatible torrent sources directly on your device, with peer and buffering information. • Save supported media locally and use system tools to open or share completed files. Only access and save content you have permission to use. • Music plugins run on your device. Review the source before installing and approve its requested connections. • Source providers receive the requests you send to them and may see your IP address. Torrent peers and trackers can also see your IP address. Nerve's backend does not host or proxy these media streams. Nerve is free and contains no advertising.
