Candence turns focus into something you can see. Instead of a plain countdown, you watch a real candle slowly burn down — or an ice cube quietly melt — while you work. The animation is synced exactly to your timer, so the progress on screen is the time you have actually focused. It is calm, beautiful, and surprisingly motivating: you simply do not want to "blow out the candle" by giving up early. WATCH YOUR FOCUS, DON'T JUST COUNT IT - Candle mode (warm) or Ice mode (cool), hand-crafted and animated at 60 FPS - The flame flickers, the wax melts, the ice drips — all in real time - Focus sessions from 45 to 120 minutes - Calming ambient sounds: fireplace, rain, ocean, forest, white noise STAY MOTIVATED - Earn up to 3 stars per session — finish without pausing for a perfect score - Build daily streaks: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond - Unlock achievements as your focus hours add up - Track total focus time, sessions, streaks and daily averages in your profile STUDY ASSISTANT (in-app, optional) Tap "Study Assistant" on the home screen, add a photo of your notes or a PDF, and Candence turns them into flashcards and a quick quiz — so studying continues after the timer ends. This update makes Candence smoother, more reliable, and adds new features that support your studying. AI Study Assistant - Upload your PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents, as well as your photos, and let AI create flashcards and quizzes in seconds. - Generated flashcards and quizzes are saved permanently; they are waiting for you in your library when you close and reopen the app. - The "What did I learn?" button has been redesigned and is now much more prominent. - Earning an extra AI credit works like a game roadmap: watch ads step by step (1/3, 2/3, 3/3), and after the third one, 1 AI credit is added to your account. - AI credits earned by watching ads are now valid only on the day they are earned; they're shown clearly alongside your daily free credits. Ad Experience - Fixed an issue where tapping the button again while an ad was still loading could show multiple ads back to back. - Fixed an issue on some devices (especially tablets) where the reward step wouldn't advance even after fully watching an ad. - Ads are shown only at natural breaks: on the pause, exit, and completion screen buttons. - No ads are shown while the timer is running or during a quiz. - There is at least a one minute gap between ads, so you never face back to back ads. Focus and Levels - Even if the app is closed or ended by the system while your timer runs in the background, your session still counts when the time is up and the next level is unlocked. - Rewards and streaks for completed sessions now work more reliably.
