About PitchGarden: Chromatic Tuner

PitchGarden is a chromatic tuner and an interval ear trainer in one calm place. Play a note and watch a flower open as you come in tune. Then listen to two notes and name the interval between them. THE TUNER Tap Start listening and play or sing a note. PitchGarden shows its name, how many cents flat or sharp you are, and a flower at the center of the screen that opens wider the closer you get. A reading within 3 cents counts as In tune. The reference pitch (A4) can be set from 430 to 450 Hz. The tuner hears notes from about 75 Hz to 2,000 Hz. That covers the open strings of a guitar, ukulele, violin, viola, mandolin and banjo. Very low notes, such as a bass guitar or the lowest cello strings, are below its range. THE EAR TRAINER Each question plays two notes. Pick the interval between them, from a minor 2nd to an octave: all twelve are in the game, and you can add descending intervals in Settings. A session is ten questions by default; Settings lets you choose 5 to 30. Replay the pair as often as you like. After every answer you see the name of the interval and, when it rises, a well-known tune that contains it, so you learn what it sounds like. YOUR PRACTICE Stats shows your streak (days in a row with at least a minute of practice), your minutes for the last seven days, and how often you get each interval right. There are no badges and no notifications. FREE AND PRO The tuner is free, with no limit. Ear training is free for three sessions a day. PitchGarden Pro, a one-time in-app purchase, removes the daily limit on ear-training sessions. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account and no ads. The microphone is used only while the tuner is open: audio is analyzed on your device and is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere. Your practice history stays on your device, and purchases go through the App Store. WORKS WITH WHAT YOU HAVE • iPhone with a microphone. • Available in English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Thai, Vietnamese and Simplified Chinese. Pick up your instrument, tune up, then give your ear a few minutes.
