Sprout is an English vocabulary app organised by CEFR level. Its 14,394 words are split across six wordbooks — from the most common everyday words to near-native vocabulary — so you can start wherever you actually are. WORD ROOTS THAT ACTUALLY HELP Many entries come with root breakdowns and example sentences, so a new word attaches to words you already know instead of to a random string of letters. HEAR IT PROPERLY Tap any word or sentence to hear it read aloud. A separate phonics section covers syllable splitting, letter-combination sounds and blending practice. SEE YOUR STREAK Set a daily goal from 10 to 80 words and track your streak, words mastered and time studied.
