## [1.3.0] - 2026-08-16 This release makes containers far more powerful and adds richer item records, smarter capture, flexible AI recognition credits, and broader localization. ### New Features **Container photos & locations** - Each container can now have its own photo. The Edit/Add Container screen shows the container image next to a Google Maps preview of its saved location, with the coordinates overlaid on the map. - Take a new photo or rescan the geolocation for a container at any time. - The Containers list now shows each container's photo (falling back to the map preview when there's no photo). **Add Container screen** - A new "+" button on the Containers screen opens a dedicated Add Container screen (same layout as Edit Container). New containers are automatically prefilled with your current location. **Smarter container selection** - The Container field on the Add Item and Edit Item screens now has Scan NFC Tag and Scan Barcode buttons that match an existing container by its saved tag/barcode and fill the field automatically. - If no container matches a scan, you can Add New Container right from the dialog — after creating it, the Container field is filled in with the new container's name. **Container notes** - Added a Notes field to containers. **Richer item details** - New Additional Details section for items: Value, Notes, Warranty Date, Replacement Cost, Purchase Date, Purchase Location, Purchase Price, Serial Number, Manufacturer, Model, and Manual URL. - New date picker for date fields. **AI text recognition (OCR)** - Detect text directly from an item photo with Detect Text, plus an Auto-detect text option on capture. **AI recognition credits** - Object and text recognition now use recognition credits. When you run out, a paywall lets you purchase more credits, and an optional rewarded-ad flow can unlock credits for free. - Pro subscribers get a smoother recognition experience with improved entitlement checks. **Full-screen photo preview** - Tap the photo on the Edit Item or Edit Container screen to open a full-screen preview with pinch-to-zoom and pan. ### Changed - All new screens, fields, and messages are fully translated across all 21 supported languages. - Simplified the "NFC Tag / Barcode" label to "Tag / Barcode". - Tapping a container now opens the Items tab filtered by the container's name (previously it searched by the container's Tag / Barcode). - The "Retake Picture" / "Add Picture" button now matches the input-field styling and adapts to light and dark themes. - Backup export/import now includes the new item detail fields. - Improved keyboard handling on the container screens so input fields (including Notes) are never hidden behind the keyboard. - Cleaned up the ads service and refreshed the Tools menu (including the "Clear Data" wording). - Debug logging is now limited to development builds. - Upgraded Expo modules and core dependencies for stability. - Added extensive test coverage for the new components (Container image/field, Additional Details, Date field, Enhanced text input, text recognition, recognition paywall, and image preview). ### Bug Fixes - Backup export/import now correctly includes container photos.
