About Sonarpad

Sonarpad 0.5.1 introduces SonarMusic, enhanced AI audio descriptions, improved SonarTube features and numerous accessibility and media playback enhancements. **Introducing SonarMusic** Discover SonarMusic, a new feature for searching and playing songs, music videos, artists, albums and playlists. Enjoy accessible search filters, continuous playback, favourites and listening history. VoiceOver accessibility has been improved with a dedicated search suggestions screen, simplified artist, album and playlist pages, and the removal of unnecessary empty elements. **Enhanced AI Audio Descriptions** Creating audio descriptions is now more flexible and customisable. Adjust voice pitch from 0.5× to 2×, choose an MP3 bitrate between 64 and 256 kbps (192 kbps by default), and control the original film volume from 0% to 200%. A new audio preview lets you hear the description voice alongside the film's original soundtrack, using the same automatic volume reduction applied during final export. These settings are saved in your projects and can be adjusted when editing them later. A new option, enabled by default, detects non-verbal vocal sounds. Pyannote identifies potential intervals, while Gemini checks them individually to find additional opportunities for narration without interfering with dialogue. Choose between Sonarpad AI and your own Gemini API key. When using a personal key, you can select your preferred AI model and save that choice for future use. VoiceOver progress announcements have also been improved to prevent unnecessary repetition. **SonarTube Improvements** The new Open URL feature lets you open video, Shorts and live stream links directly. Search results can now be filtered by All, Playlists or Channels, with the selected filter preserved when loading more results. SonarTube and SonarMusic now present media durations more naturally, such as "4 minutes and 32 seconds", without repeated information. **File Imports and Media Management** Videos can now be selected directly from the iPhone Photos library in Documents and when creating AI audio descriptions. Importing from iCloud, Google Drive and other cloud services has been improved, with actual copying progress and the option to cancel. Sonarpad now remembers route preferences, video sorting in SonarTube channels and the skip interval used in Media Cutter. Playback speed is now controlled through an accessible slider ranging from 0.5× to 2×, with improved VoiceOver focus stability. **More Reliable Speech Synthesis** Edge voices now use an updated connection, with the previous connection retained as a fallback. Interrupted requests are automatically retried to prevent incomplete speech output. **Accessibility and Languages** Added full Turkish localisation, including the app interface, release notes, dedicated news sources and Turkish alphabet support in navigation and PDFs. Improved VoiceOver navigation, focus management, slider accessibility and screen reader announcements throughout the app. Double-tapping and holding the Back button now opens a menu for quickly returning to the Home screen. **Calendar and Radio** Calendar reminders can now include an optional time, which is saved and announced alongside the reminder text. When calendar access is authorised, an event with an alert can also be created. The radio search catalogue has been significantly expanded, making more stations available. **Additional Improvements** Numerous fixes and optimisations improve stability, accessibility, localisation, file handling and multimedia playback.
