About قافية العرب
Qafiyat Al-Arab — the complete Arabic poetry library, to read, understand, and play. Over 136,000 poems by nearly 2,900 poets in two separate collections: Fasih (classical) from the pre-Islamic era to today, and Nabati from the poets of Arabia and the Gulf. Every poem with or without tashkeel, every poet with a short biography and an imagined portrait. POEM COMMENTARY More than 7,800 poems explained line by line, each with the story behind it. This includes the entire pre-Islamic era, the diwans of Al-Mutanabbi, Ahmed Shawqi, Al-Farazdaq, and Jarir, and a growing number of Mukhadram and Nabati poets. An "explained" badge in the library points you to them. INSTANT SEARCH Type any word, hemistich, or poet name and find every match in a moment, across the full text of the whole library. SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY A featured poet with a short profile and poem, the story of the day's poem, and a short daily challenge that builds your streak. 9 POETRY GAMES • Complete the Bayt — recover the second hemistich • Guess the Poet — who wrote this verse? • Guess the Era — when was this written? • Identify the Bahr — name the poetic meter • Order the Qasida — restore the original verse order • Identify the Purpose — pick the poem's theme • Spot the Mistake — find the error in a bayt • Poem from Its Story — read the story, pick the opening verse • Match the Sharh — read a line's commentary, pick the line it explains Three free rounds per game every day, plus one game fully open without limits that rotates daily. Achievements, per-game statistics, and a shareable result card. FAVORITES AND COLLECTIONS Save poems and poets, organize poems into collections, and follow a poet to hear about new poems. Favorites and progress sync automatically through iCloud. A CALM READING EXPERIENCE A clean reading mode or a full view with commentary, swipe between neighboring poems, several Arabic typefaces with adjustable size, tashkeel on or off, and warm manuscript-inspired colors. Share any poem or single bayt as an elegant image. Interface available in Arabic and English; the poetry itself is always in Arabic.
