About LifeApps Food Logger

Log what you ate in a few seconds, four ways. Food is a calorie and macro tracker built around one idea: the logging has to be fast, or you stop doing it. Type it, say it, snap a photo of your plate, or fill in a plain form — whichever is quickest in the moment. WHAT YOU GET • Calorie and protein rings that show where the day stands at a glance • Per-meal breakdowns — breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks • A searchable food database (USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts), plus barcode lookups • Portion scaling that does the maths for you: change "1 cup" to "1.5 cups" and the macros follow • Carbs, fat, fruit and veg, cost, and weigh-ins alongside calories and protein • Apple Health: reads your latest body weight and writes weigh-ins back, with your permission • A home-screen widget for today's rings and one-tap logging FOUR WAYS TO LOG • By hand — a plain form, always there • By chat — "chicken bowl and a greek yogurt" becomes structured entries • By voice — dictate it when your hands are full • By photo — snap the plate and get an estimate you can edit Chat, voice and photo use AI, and they're off until you turn them on. Manual entries go only to our servers; food-database searches and barcode lookups are passed to USDA and Open Food Facts without your identity attached. EVERY NUMBER IS EDITABLE Calorie counts and portion estimates are exactly that — estimates. Tap any entry and fix it. ONE ACCOUNT, THREE APPS, PLUS THE WEB One sign-in covers Food, Gym and Planner and a web dashboard you can open in any browser. Free. No ads. No third-party analytics or ad trackers. Your logs are stored with your account so they sync across your devices and the web — which means they're linked to you on our servers. You can export everything, or delete your account and all of its data, permanently, from Settings. Food is a logging tool, not medical advice — check with a doctor before making decisions about your health.

What’s new

Version 1.0.3 · Updated September 26, 2026

A big quality release, shaped by daily use: • A new Modern look — and your Home Screen icon follows the theme (the classic Paper theme is one tap away in Settings) • Meal photos are now saved with each meal, so you can look back at what you actually ate • Every portion carries its weight in grams, and you can switch any logged amount between units honestly • Smarter barcode scans: labels whose numbers don't add up are flagged, and "Looks off" entries can pull corrected numbers from another source — applied only with your approval • Photo logging: portion sizes are grounded by your iPhone's depth sensor, and a one-tap retry if analysis is briefly unavailable • Calorie ring leads with what's LEFT for the day, next to your protein ring • Values animate gently when you log (respects Reduce Motion) • Many smaller fixes and refinements
