About Residency tracker: Residex.io

Residex counts the days you spend in each country, and warns you before they add up to a problem. Cross 183 days in the wrong place and you may become tax resident there. Spend 90 days in the Schengen area and your allowance is gone. These lines are easy to cross without noticing. Residex is the app that notices for you. PROOF FROM YOUR PHOTOS Your photo library already records where you have been. Residex reads the date and place saved in your photos — on your device, nothing uploaded — and keeps those days as proof of where you were. It is the fastest way to rebuild years of travel you never wrote down. EVERY COUNTRY COUNTS DIFFERENTLY Most trackers count to 183 and stop. Residex app actual rule: • Schengen 90/180 across all 29 member countries exit days the way the rule does • The US substantial presence test — this year's last year's, plus a sixth of the year before • The UK's 6 April tax year, counted in midnight • Thailand's 180 days, Portugal's rolling twelve months, and more • 19 presence rules across 70 countries KNOW BEFORE YOU CROSS • Get notified on the date a trip you have already planned would take you over a threshold • Warnings as your days approach a limit, not after • Long absences that may put a US green card, UK, Canadian permanent residence at risk YOUR TRAVEL HISTORY, CLEARLY • Nights per country, per year, at a glance • Calendar, by-country, by-month and by-category views • Categorise stays: vacation, business, family, • Edit any trip and every total recalculates PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-up, no login • Your travel history stays on your device and nowhere else • Works offline • Encrypted backup file, and a one-time encrypted transfer to a new device • Under 6 MB Available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Core tracking is free, with no expiry date. Residex is a presence tracker, not tax advice. It tells you where you stand against a threshold — what crossing one means for you depends on your own circumstances.

What’s new

Version 1.2.150 · Updated October 26, 2026

• Planned trips now warn you before they take you over a limit. • New: a warning when a long absence puts a US green card, UK settlement or Canadian permanent residence at risk. • Only an EU or Schengen passport now hides the Schengen 90/180 warning. • Photo proofs move with you to a new phone and survive a backup restore. • A monthly reminder to back up your trips. • No Google Analytics in the app. • Fixes: dates shown a day early in the Americas, pop-ups under the notch.
