About Smiley Man Check-In

A little space for big feelings. Smiley Man Check-In helps children name how they feel and choose a small next step, with a grown-up nearby. INCLUDED FREE - One child profile and eight core feelings for check-ins. - Small, Medium and Big feeling-size choices, with an optional afterward question. - Optional writing, child-recorded voice notes and drawing. - Core calming activities, starter stories and the Feelings Book. - Messages for Stormy Me: save a voice note, drawing, written note, helpful idea or a song you made as a note for another day, then open a note from happy you when things feel hard. Watch notes settle into your jar, keep full jars on your shelf and remove an individual note whenever you choose. - Your first Smiley Hamster and a gentle local Hatch Cycle: an egg hatches with the first check-in on the day after you pick it, then grows up over three more days. Extra check-ins cannot speed it up. - A refreshed Smiley Pet Park with local Sparkles, Buddy Bond progress, learned moves, a Pet Book and a Sparkle Shop. - The Music Room: play keys, guitar, drums, your own voice, a loop band and Follow lights, spin sounds at the DJ booth and keep your song on this device. Recording your voice needs a grown-up's Voice Notes setting. - A Pet Park dance party where your pet dances to the beat of your songs. - Hide & seek and Bedtime in Smiley Pet Park: find your hiding buddies with a flashlight, or tuck them into bed in the evening. - The Worry Jar: drop worries in, watch them settle, then let them go. Worries are cleared when you leave. - The Feelings Book: switch Recent check-ins between a familiar list and a Calendar view, then browse a month or the whole year. - Glow Day: your buddy grows in a full-screen moment, with a look back at how far it has come. - A free parent report with your child's week of feelings and one thing to try. SMILEY MAN PLUS - PAID SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED A separately purchased monthly or yearly Smiley Man Plus subscription unlocks additional child profiles, expanded feelings and stories, Smiley Man read-aloud, six Flowling friends - Confetti Rex, Rainbow Ghost, Smiley Sandwich, Mathematical Robot, Carrot Man and Smiley Squishy - additional Smiley Pet eggs, a month and year feelings recap for kids, parent report charts that show which tools seemed to help, a summary to share with a doctor or counsellor, optional weekly report email and Family Device Sync. Version 3.7 adds parent report charts and a weekly email that say what happened and what seemed to help, a month and year feelings recap for kids with Plus, eggs that hatch the day after you pick them, a full-screen growth moment, songs as Stormy Me notes, a new Plus page and fixes for deleting a child, the Music Room and iPad layouts. Core check-ins, the first Smiley Hamster, its dance party and core Pet Park play are free. Purchases and subscription controls are parent-gated; Sparkles are earned, never sold. Private iCloud Backup is separate from Family Device Sync and does not require Plus. An introductory one-week free trial is available on the yearly Plus plan for eligible Apple Accounts where Apple offers it. The parent-gated plans screen shows current availability, price and renewal terms before purchase. The yearly subscription renews after the trial unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Manage or cancel in Apple subscription settings. Parent patterns are conversation starters, not clinical conclusions. Smiley Man read-aloud uses audio bundled with the app; child content is not sent to an AI narration service. There are no third-party ads, third-party analytics SDK or cross-app tracking. Smiley Man Check-In is not a diagnosis, screening, treatment, therapy, medical, or crisis-service app. Privacy Policy: https://smiley-man-check-in.pages.dev/privacy/ Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

What’s new

Version 3.8 · Updated October 28, 2026

New in 3.8: - Made for iPhone Duo. Open it like a book and the feelings faces, calm activities and parent PIN sit on either side of the fold. - Half fold it on a table: a calm activity plays on the upright half, with its buttons on the half lying flat. - Tent pose: close iPhone Duo and stand it on its side. Breathing, Pop the Bubbles, Star Tracing and The Worry Jar put the activity beside its buttons, so your child can use it standing on the table. - On every iPhone, "More feelings" and the Feelings Book button now fit on one line.
