About Dissent — Censorship-Proof VPN

Reach the open internet — free, with no account. Open Dissent and connect. With no sign-up and no login, you get free, private access to a curated set of sites — Wikipedia and more — that work anywhere, even on networks that try to block them. Nothing to create, nothing to enter. WORKS WHERE OTHER VPNS DON'T Most VPNs are easy to spot and block — their traffic looks like VPN traffic. Dissent's doesn't. It rides inside ordinary encrypted web requests, so to the network it looks like you're simply browsing. That's why it keeps working where other tools go dark. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Dissent doesn't track you and doesn't keep traffic logs. It uses blind-signed access tokens, so the server that carries your traffic can't link a session back to you — privacy enforced by cryptography, not promises. SERIOUS ENCRYPTION • Real, verified TLS — no certificate shortcuts • Encrypted Client Hello (ECH) hides which site you're reaching • Post-quantum key exchange (X25519 + ML-KEM) — safe against tomorrow's computers • An extra encrypted (Noise) layer inside the tunnel • Runs against a hardware secure enclave (Intel SGX) with reproducible, publicly auditable builds BUILT TO STAY CONNECTED • Kill switch blocks traffic the instant the tunnel drops — no leaks • IPv6 leak protection, always on • Automatic reconnect through network changes and sleep/wake • Fast — stream, call, and download at full speed SIMPLE Pick a region or let Dissent choose. One tap to connect. Already use VP.NET? You can sign in with your existing account for access to the full open internet. Signing in is optional — the free experience needs no account, and Dissent never asks you to buy anything. Privacy policy: https://godissent.com/privacy Support: https://godissent.com/support

What’s new

Version 1.0.6 · Updated August 9, 2026

Encrypted SNI (ECH) is now on by default. It hides which sites and servers you connect to from your network and your ISP — not just your traffic, but the destination itself. You can turn it off in Settings if you need to. The connection screen's privacy checks now verify live: each one turns green only when it's actually true for your session, never as a static claim.
