Vocabulary Flashcard Maker

PREMIUM — PURCHASE REQUIRED: All features described below are part of Pro and require a purchase: a weekly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Every word you have ever looked up and then forgotten deserved a card. WordWeek is a flashcard maker for building your own vocabulary deck: you write the word, its meaning in your own words, and a sentence that pins it down — then flip through your cards until they stick. Most vocabulary apps hand you someone else's five thousand words. WordWeek starts from the opposite idea: the words worth memorizing are the ones YOU met — in a novel, a lecture, a job posting, a subtitle. Writing your own definition is half the memorizing; the flip-and-swipe study sessions do the rest, and the words you miss come straight back until they don't. WHAT YOU GET • Cards you write yourself — the word, a definition in your own words, and a sample sentence with the word highlighted when you flip • Tap to flip, swipe right for "I know", left for "don't know" — a full session fits in the two minutes you're waiting for coffee • Light spaced repetition: every session puts the words you keep missing first and lets mastered ones drift to the back, so your weakest words get seen the most • A mastery ring that fills word by word, plus tiles for total words, mastered, still practising, and how many you added this calendar week • A searchable library — find any card by word, definition or sentence, filter by known/practice, mark, edit or delete from the row • CSV import and export — pull a whole deck in from a spreadsheet, or hand your deck to a classmate Seventeen starter words are included, so your first session works before you have typed anything. PERFECT FOR • Students building their own exam word list — IELTS, GRE, SAT — out of the words they actually get wrong • Language learners collecting vocabulary from books, shows and conversations • Readers who look a word up, nod, and never meet it again • Anyone who downloaded a big vocab app, saw someone else's word list, and quit WHY NOT JUST USE THE BIG FLASHCARD PLATFORMS? They come with accounts, classrooms, ads and endless community decks built for someone else's course. WordWeek is the other thing: no login, no feed, nothing to browse. Open it, flip your own cards, close it. Missed words will be waiting at the front of the next session. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No accounts, no analytics, no ads. Your words, your progress and your settings are stored only on this device — the only network call the app makes is to the App Store to check your subscription. Exporting a deck writes a CSV file that goes exactly where you send it, nowhere else. PREMIUM (PURCHASE REQUIRED) WordWeek requires Full Access, which unlocks the entire app — the card library, study sessions and stats. Choose a weekly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Add the first word you had to look up today. It will be on a card, waiting, tomorrow.
