About et al. — Highlight & Save

Highlight what matters in Safari, add your notes, and find it again when you're ready to write. et al. keeps your highlights and sources together in a searchable Library, whether you're working on a class paper, reviewing the literature, or following an idea. With the free app, you can: • Highlight webpages in four colors and add notes as you read. • Organize your reading with folders and tags, and search your saved highlights and notes. • Copy or download APA and MLA citations for individual sources. Review and edit the source details before you export. • Bring in highlights from supported exports and take your work with you as Markdown or CSV. • Use optional iCloud Sync to keep your Library available across your devices. et al. Pro gives you more ways to work with your sources: • Save tables and images from webpages, or import your own images. • Build bibliographies from several sources, use Chicago or IEEE, and export BibTeX, RIS or CSL-JSON files. • Make your own highlight colors and ask questions about your saved highlights and notes. Pro is one purchase for Mac, iPhone and iPad using the same Apple Account. There's no subscription. Your Library stays on your devices. If you turn on optional iCloud Sync, it also syncs through your iCloud account. No ads, no tracking, and no et al. account to create. Ask uses Apple's on-device models, and your Library is never sent to us. It requires Apple Intelligence on a supported device running iOS 26, iPadOS 26, or macOS 26 or later, with on-device models available. The core app requires iOS 18, iPadOS 18, or macOS 12 or later.
