Joja Entertainment

Welcome to Joja Entertainment- a free streaming platform centering Pakistani voices. Save films, submit films, and consume all in one location. Donate directly to filmmakers to show your appreciation! A CULTURAL OUTLET Pakistanis in and outside of Pakistan don't have a singular, dedicated location to watch quality films. Pakistani films hardly come to global theater screens en masse and finding them online should be easier, but they aren't. Joja Entertainment seeks to solve this by platforming films highlighting work that speaks to the Pakistani experience. The cultural connection leads to empowerment and a sense of belonging - not just to Pakistan, but wherever they are based. DIVERSITY We work with independent filmmakers to showcase identity, culture, and personalities to support expression of those coming from a Pakistani background. Joja's mission is to bring Pakistani cinema to the world stage as part of the discourse on South Asian cinema. Joja supports local and diasporic filmmakers to present a range of artistic representations. This is in service of expanding the definition of the Pakistani experience, both in and outside of Pakistan. IMPACT Pakistani films deserve an accessible location to reach their audiences for more than entertainment’s sake. Founded by a member of the diaspora, Joja Entertainment is dedicated to understanding identity in ways that are cognizant of Pakistan’s history, present, and future while also seeking healing from the effects of postcolonial neoliberalism in ways that are specific to Pakistan’s history.
