About The Piper's Passport

The Piper's Passport is a private tasting journal and collection manager for adult pipe collectors — the kind of ledger a gentleman would have kept on his desk a hundred years ago, now in your pocket. It does not sell tobacco, and it does not encourage smoking. It encourages journaling and tasting — a careful, private record of a hobby you already practice: what you tried, what you tasted, and what you keep. Every journal entry becomes its own page: the blend, the leaf, the cut, the pipe, the flavors you found. The page is stamped with a customs-style mark, signed in your own hand. Over time, the pages stack up. The passport fills in. WHAT'S INSIDE • A curated catalog of 220+ classic blends — G.L. Pease, Cornell & Diehl, Samuel Gawith, Esoterica, Peterson, Rattray, Mac Baren and many more. Pick a known blend and the leaf, country, cut and strength fill in automatically. • A two-wheel flavor chart — seventeen aroma families and a taste-and-feel wheel — so your notes read like a sommelier's, not a shrug. • Your Palate — the app learns what you enjoy from what you record, and charts your personal flavor profile. • Recommendations that explain themselves — each pick names the blend in your journal that earned it, matched to your documented taste. Ask for a style — a Virginia, an English — and see what fits. • A Cellar that knows what you own, what it cost, its total value, when you opened a tin, and what has been aging longest. • A Pipe Rack with provenance — the estate find, the gift, the show purchase. Every pipe has a story; the rack keeps it. • Honors earned through the quality and range of your record — leaves explored, houses toured, notes written. Each year is its own volume; the lifetime ledger carries forever. • An optional journaling reminder — a nudge to write today's entry before the details fade. • Passport-style pages and a Year in Pipe recap you can share as an image — a hand-stamped page from your own records. BUILT FOR COLLECTORS, NOT EXTRACTED FROM THEM No advertising. No third-party trackers. No analytics SDK reading your behavior. The piper's data belongs to the piper. Works fully offline — every feature is local-first. Sign in (optional) and your journal, cellar, signature and rack sync across your devices. FOR ADULTS ONLY This app is intended solely for adults of legal age to purchase tobacco where they live — 21 or older in the United States. Tobacco use carries serious health risks, including cancer, heart disease, and nicotine addiction; no form of tobacco use is safe. The Piper's Passport documents a hobby. It does not promote one. WHO IT'S FOR Collectors who treat their hobby with care — the kind who can describe last Tuesday's bowl in vivid detail and want a place to put it. New pipers who want to make sense of what they are tasting. Cellar-builders who need to know when their Penzance crosses the one-year aging mark. And anyone who finds the ritual of pressing a stamp into a leather book deeply, quietly pleasing. The Piper's Passport is for the long view. Pages fill slowly. The book gets richer.
