The biggest GoalKickr update yet. XP + BADGES — A SEASON WITH TEETH Recognition that reflects real work, not currency to spend or a leaderboard to grind. Coach opt-in per team; private-first by default. • Streak days. Every practice tap keeps the flame lit. Streaks skip Sundays for families who don't practice that day. • First-moment badges. First goal, first assist, first save, first clean sheet, first Player of the Match — the moments that matter most, marked forever. • Milestone badges. Streak crossings (7, 30, 90 days), perfect attendance, hat tricks. Earned live during games, celebrated on the wall. • Level progression. XP accrues from real work — attendance, moments, coach acknowledgments. A tier ladder built for a season arc, not an infinite grind. • No currency. No streak-freezes to buy, no spend-to-skip. Soccer is real; XP reflects real work. GAMES AS THE PRIMARY LENS Every match now has its own card in Media: full-game recording, per-category highlights (goals, assists, saves, defense, attack, shots, skill), and the Player of the Match right there. • Player of the Match now surfaces ON the game card in gold, with a rotating "why they won" quote from a parent's vote. • Team highlight reels — post whole-squad compilations like "Defensive highlights vs La Roca," categorized and badged as team content without touching individual stats. MORE • Sideline Shouts — a unified wall of kudos, badges, and coach whispers. Every kid gets seen. • Player Circle — welcome grandparents, aunts, family friends into your kid's soccer world without adding them as parents. • Custom game formats — 5v5, 6v6, 8v8, 10v10 alongside the standard 4v4/7v7/9v9/11v11. • Sports Affinity integration — Utah Soccer League registrations flow through automatically. FIXED • Double push notifications on direct messages. • YouTube videos play inline again on Full Games and Media. • Coaches with alternate subscription setups can now upload clips. • Media storage counter no longer leaks on failed uploads. • Past events can be edited to add opponent name and result retroactively. • Full Game recordings can be linked directly to calendar events. • Video uploads over 200 MB now succeed (resumable, with cellular-drop recovery). FASTER Firestore query cache + dedup, route-level code splitting, lazy image loading across the app, and chunked resumable video uploads.
