About ChindoSpeak - Mandarin & Indo

ChindoSpeak turns the videos you already watch into vocabulary you actually remember. LEARN FROM REAL VIDEOS Paste any Instagram Reel or YouTube Short — or share it straight from the app — and we'll transcribe it, pull out the most useful phrases, translate them, and turn them into flashcards in seconds. Stop pretending you're going to read that textbook again. PRACTICE THAT STICKS Reading, listening, and speaking drills powered by spaced repetition. Cards you nail get pushed further out; cards you struggle with come back tomorrow. Built from the same algorithm that's been running quietly inside Anki and SuperMemo for decades, tuned to fit a phone screen and a 5-minute attention span. TWO LANGUAGES TO START • Mandarin Chinese (Simplified) — with pinyin and native-quality audio. • Bahasa Indonesia — colloquial and Jakarta-accurate. Pick one or both. Switch any time without losing progress. DESIGNED FOR THE WAY YOU ACTUALLY LEARN • Daily streak tracker that nudges you, not nags you. • Activity heatmap so you can see what consistent practice actually looks like. • Category filters to drill a topic ("food", "office Mandarin", "Bali trip") in isolation. • iCloud sync — start on your iPhone at lunch, finish in bed on your iPad. • Quiet by default. No leaderboards, no streaks-shame, no notifications you didn't ask for. PRO SUBSCRIPTION Unlock unlimited video imports and the full spaced-repetition system with ChindoSpeak Pro: • 3-day free trial. • Monthly or annual plans. • Cancel any time in your iPhone's Subscription settings. PRIVACY-FIRST No ads. No tracking prompts. No advertising IDs. Your flashcards stay on your device or in your private iCloud. What’s new

Version 1.0.1 · Updated July 15, 2026

• Fixed a notification badge that could get stuck on the app icon with no way to clear it. • Daily reminders are back. Choose your own reminder time in Settings, and only get nudged on days you actually have cards due. • Switching between Mandarin and Indonesian no longer leaves the previous language's word, translation, or category behind. • Fixed the Practice tab appearing empty after switching languages. • Editing a card now follows the card's own language, so Mandarin and Indonesian categories can't get mixed up. • "Review again" no longer dead-ends, and a fast swipe can't grade the same card twice. • Clearer messages when a translation fails, with a Try again button. • Listening cards now tell you when no voice is installed, instead of failing silently.
