About Wandr — Map Explorer
Wandr turns the world into a map you uncover by living in it. The map starts dark. As you move through the real world — on foot, by car, by bike — Wandr quietly reveals the places you pass through. No checking in, no tagging; just go, and your map fills in. Come back a year from now and you'll see the real shape of your life: every neighborhood, every road trip, every walk to the coffee shop. Save the places that matter, build day streaks, and compare your map with friends if you want to. Everything lives on your iPhone — no ads, no trackers, no account. Requires Always location access so the map can keep revealing while the app is in the background.
What’s new
Version 1.2 · Updated May 22, 2026
Wandr 1.2 brings friends, more ways to share, and a fresh look. • Friends — swap codes and compare your map on a friendly leaderboard. Only your tile and award counts are shared, never your location, places, or map. • Share, your way — pick a shape, recolor your tiles, add a title, and the live preview matches the image you get exactly. • Travel back in time — replay your map as it looked on any day and share that moment. • A cleaner, more cohesive look across the app, plus a smoother map at high tile counts. Still free, still private — no ads, no subscriptions, no account. Everything stays on your iPhone.
