Non-UPF Verified

A new standard for food is emerging The Non-UPF Verified™ program proves convenience and nourishment can coexist. Our Standard and our app are your guides to finding products that make it real, one barcode at a time. Scan any barcode. Get an instant answer. Point your camera at any packaged food and instantly see whether it’s Non-UPF Verified. Ingredient lists and nutrition panels only tell part of the story — ultraprocessing happens in the methods and additives that don’t always appear on the label. The Non-UPF Verified butterfly is the only program that examines how a product is actually made, offering a rigorous, evidence-based approach developed by the same non-profit organization that created the Non-GMO Project Verified seal. Not verified yet? You can change that. If a product hasn't achieved verification, you can inspire the brand to pursue it. Your voice drives demand and contributes to the transparent food supply we all deserve. Simply click “Request Verification” and we will share your requests directly with the people who actually make your food. We have well-established relationships with thousands of brand partners and have seen from experience that your requests matter deeply to them! Why Non-UPF Verified? 1. Verified beyond the label — looks at how food is actually made, not just ingredients 2. Requires information you can’t see on the package — including processing methods 3. Evaluates the whole product — ingredients, formulation, and food matrix together 4. Independent, third-party verification — not self-reported or AI-scored 5. Non-profit, mission-driven standard — built for trust and accountability 6.
