Composed, Sharp, Savage and the rewrite run 100% on your device, on Apple's Foundation Models where available. Vent and Feral use a cloud model, and only after you give permission: Apple's on-device model is too gentle for real venting, so the cloud lets them write real drafts on any device. Switch Cloud AI off in Settings → AI & Privacy and Vent and Feral show curated examples instead. Without Apple's on-device model (iOS 18, macOS 14–15, or Apple Intelligence off or unsupported), Composed, Sharp and Savage (in every tool), the Argument Simulator and the one-tap rewrite show curated examples — always labeled, and never charged a credit. RoastMate is a creative writing and emotional expression tool. It is not designed to target or harass any individual — the AI is told to replace real names with roles and never to use slurs or threats, and a built-in safety filter blocks threats and self-harm language. PRIVACY With your permission, what you type for Vent and Feral goes through a developer-owned Cloudflare Worker to third-party LLM providers; the Worker keeps none of your text and rate-limits each device. Sign in with Apple is optional; if you sign in, your Apple-issued User ID (plus name and email, if you share them) is stored only on your device. No tracking, no advertising IDs, no fingerprinting, no third-party SDKs. Anonymized usage counters are off by default; turned on, they stay on your device until you export them.
