Learn art history one painting at a time. Reveal a masterpiece each day, then follow a short visual Story through its details. Discover what those details mean and finish the Story to add the painting to your collection. • Reveal today's painting. Touch and hold to uncover the artwork and take a moment to see it as a whole. • Follow the details. Guided close-ups and short captions explore the painting's story and meaning. Pause or revisit a detail at your own pace. • Build your own gallery. Complete a Story to collect its painting. Look back through the monthly view and explore Expositions: curated collections of related works. • Look beyond the frame. Read about the artist, check image credits and sources, and find museum information and official visitor links where available. The app interface supports 43 languages. Daily access requires an account and a subscription. Eligible new subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled in your Apple Account settings. • Faster, smoother reveals. Uncover paintings with a 30% shorter hold, with improved performance for the first painting you reveal after opening the app. • Lighter on memory. The app no longer holds on to every painting you've browsed, so it uses far less memory however far back you go. • New museum cards. Painting details now include a “See it in person” card with a museum photo. Tap it to open the museum's page in the app. • Explore museums. Browse the paintings you've discovered from each museum in a neat grid and see how many are still to unlock. Plan a visit with locations and free-entry days and times where available, plus official links for opening hours, tickets and prices. • See the whole painting first. Each Story now opens with the full artwork, its title, artist and year before taking you through the details. • Smoother openings. A painting now grows from its card into the full artwork in one continuous move, and glides back to its card when you close. Painting details ease into their first close-up instead of jumping. • A Story ending that remembers. When you finish a Story, a fine line traces every detail you visited, then the painting settles into its frame. • A livelier countdown. The finished-Story screen now drifts gently while you wait for the next painting, and the sun and moon on the countdown arc always appear whole. • Links that work every time. Sign-in and password-reset links now open the app correctly, even when it was closed. • A refreshed look. A new, unified palette gives the home screen, Stories, painting details and museum pages a cleaner, more consistent design, with smoother image transitions. • Clearer credits and sources. Painting details now bring image credits, sources and content advisories together in a cleaner section. Tap to read the full image credits. • More reliable navigation. Fixed issues with closing painting details, opening museums and keeping your place when going back. • Easier feedback. A quick App Store rating prompt can now appear after you finish a Story.
