What’s new

Version 3.0.5 · Updated September 27, 2026

What went wrong with reflections, and what's different now Several earlier updates said reflections were fixed. They weren't, and I'm sorry. This time I found the cause. On iPhones without Apple Intelligence, mirror's built-in AI wrote like a storyteller and made up details: rain that wasn't there, people swapped around. On those iPhones, starting now: • Reflections, weekly digests, monthly reports and Ask quote your own sentences word for word. Anything in quotation marks is exactly what you wrote, so you can check it against your entry. • Apart from the quote, there's one short line about how it sounds. That line can still misread your mood or get a small detail wrong. • If Ask can't find your topic, it shows the closest things you wrote instead of guessing. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Apple's on-device model still writes in its own words. Also in this update: • Weekly digests now arrive on Sundays in regions where the week starts on Sunday. • The home screen widget and notifications show only the short line, never your own sentence. • Try Again now waits for a reflection that's still being written, instead of doing nothing. • Fixed characters sometimes going missing in Japanese, Korean and Chinese AI text. • Reflections created before this update aren't changed. If a reflection ever gets something wrong, please tell me: Settings → About → Send feedback.
