About Vitababy: Scan Food Labels

Vitababy shows you what's in the packaged food you buy — in plain words, in a second. POINT AND SCAN Point your camera at a barcode and it scans by itself. No barcode? Snap the pack or the ingredients list and mochi reads it for you. A VERDICT, NOT A REPORT See the Nutri-Score as a word — excellent, good, average, poor or bad — with one short line on why. Ingredients, nutrition per 100 g and processing level are a swipe away. YOUR ALLERGENS FIRST Choose which of the UK's 14 major allergens to watch for. When a product contains one, or may contain one, it's the first thing you see. Always check the pack too. RECALL ALERTS Every product you scan is checked against official recall notices. If one is recalled, you'll see it on home with the notice's own words on what to do. COMPARE A FEW Choosing between honeys or olive oils? Compare two or three of the same kind side by side. mochi tells you what differs — it never picks for you. COLLECT AND GROW Every product you scan becomes a sticker in your food-dex, and mochi grows as you scan. Keep a streak going, or come back any time — mochi saves you a seat. NO ACCOUNT NEEDED Scan barcodes, collect stickers and get recall alerts without signing up. Create a free account to snap photos and keep mochi safe across phones. VERIFIED RECORDS (PILOT) Some products carry records published on the Cardano blockchain, showing the data hasn't changed since it was recorded. Records are part of a testnet pilot and don't mean a food is safe. Free, no subscriptions, no ads. What’s new

Version 2.2.0 · Updated October 16, 2026

New in Vitababy. • A fresh look: a new app icon, mochi on the sky when you open the app, and deep teal throughout. • Food-dex sets: fill 8 shelves and 3 label hunts, and earn a stamp for each one. • Share cards: share a great find, show how mochi has grown, or invite a friend. • Things I avoid: choose what you'd rather not eat, such as palm oil, sweeteners, seed oils or artificial colours, or add your own words. We spot them on the label, including under their other names. • Brand track record: see a brand's past recalls and safety notices from six food regulators. • Not in our data? Add the product from its label in a few taps. Missing ingredients? Snap the label and we'll add them after a check. • Not rated? See an estimated grade worked out from the label. • Something wrong? Tell us from what's inside, and we'll fix it. • Clearer when we don't know: products with no allergen data say "not on our data" instead of looking clear. • Livelier motion, fewer words and more icons throughout.
