About Tide: Recovery & Sleep

Tide turns your Apple Watch data into a clear daily read on how you're doing. Three scores - Recovery, Sleep and Strain - plus a Ready summary help you decide when to push and when to ease off. Everything runs on your device. No account. No cloud. Your health data never leaves your iPhone. NEW IN 1.4 - A new Home screen: your Ready score, Recovery, Sleep and Strain at a glance. - Today's Play: a short checklist for your day that you tick off yourself. - Strain: yesterday compared with your 7-day average. - Hydrate: see the water in Apple Health and log a glass or a bottle. Saving water to Apple Health is optional and only asked when you turn it on. - A timeline of your day: sleep, workouts and water. - Plain-language explanations for every score, in English and Dutch. WHAT YOU GET - Recovery (0-100): heart-rate variability (50%), resting heart rate (30%) and last night's sleep (20%). The breakdown shows how each part counted. - Sleep: a score from duration, deep sleep and REM, with honest "watch wasn't worn" detection so a missing night never fakes a score. - Strain (0-21): based on the active energy you burned today. - Ready: Tide's own summary of how set up you are for today, from Recovery, Sleep and recent load. It's Tide's own mix, not a measurement. - Trends: 14-day graphs of HRV, resting heart rate, sleep and activity. TIDE PREMIUM - Ask Tide: an AI coach you can talk to about your day. It runs on your device with Apple Intelligence (iOS 26 or later, supported devices) and replies in English. - Proactive check-ins: a heads-up when your recovery is low and your resting heart rate or HRV moves away from your usual. - Deep insights: plain-language explanations behind every score. Wear your Apple Watch to bed, open Tide in the morning, and start the day knowing where you stand. Tide Premium is available monthly or yearly with a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account; subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings. What’s new

Version 1.4.1 · Updated October 9, 2026

A clearer, more responsive Longevity score and more reliable rings. • Longevity now reacts faster to your HRV, resting heart rate, sleep and activity, shows what each part contributes and adds a 14-day trend. • Missing data is no longer counted as zero: Recovery re-weights when sleep is missing and Strain shows "—" when there is no measurement. • Last night's sleep is now complete, even when you check in the evening. • Widgets and the Watch use the same calculation as the app. • Clearer colours per score, VoiceOver values for every ring and Reduce Motion support. Because the calculation changed, your Longevity score (and sometimes Recovery) may shift the first time you open the app.
