About Contour Music: Discover & Rank

Contour is where music fans can discovery their new favorite song, album or artist. They can rate albums, write reviews, and discover new artists with the kind of streaming analytics you'd usually need a label account to see. Free. Sign in with Google or Apple. Rate songs and the Discover feed locks in on your taste. It digs past recycled hits into music that fits your genre, era, and vibe. Thirty-second previews, one swipe per track, no algorithm black box. Then go deeper: Rating on every track and artist. Written reviews with upvotes, downvotes, and threaded replies Follow people with taste like yours and see what they're rating Era-adjusted leaderboard: streams weighted against Spotify's size at the time of release, so a 2012 classic and a 2024 hit finally compete on equal footing RIAA Gold, Platinum, and Diamond milestones marked on every trajectory chart Compare any two albums' streaming trajectories side by side. Pick standard or deluxe editions, save the comparison, and share the link. A new album to rate and debate with the community every week Build ranked or unranked lists: top albums of the year, hidden gems, anything Search albums, tracks, artists, and users all from one bar Notifications when people you follow @ you or comment on your work. Your public profile shows your rating distribution, top genres, pinned favorites, and full review history. The taste profile page shows exactly what the algorithm knows about you and lets you reset any part of it. Earn badges to display publicly and be proud of your listening prowess. Stream data is modeled from public sources and calibrated against archived historical snapshots. Contour plays 30-second previews only; open any album or track in Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, or YouTube with one tap.

Stations: tap any artist, album, or track for a feed built around it. Shared links now open in the app instead of the browser. Reviews and replies get a full screen to write in. All three eras of your taste on one chart, exportable as a card. Badges became a medal strip on your profile. Cleaner charts: reissues fold into the original album, and Era Score is labeled everywhere. Plus haptics and a pile of smaller fixes.
